Couldn't be any worse for the Colts? If they get the lead, the Jets will have a very tough time coming back. The Colts will stack the line and force Sanchez to beat them. If he isn't up to the task, the game will be ugly. You can also count on the Colts not beating themselves and choking like dogs (see Chargers).

Of all the opponents the Colts could face in the AFC championship game, the Jets are who they would draw up. Next week is when Sanchez will turn into a pumpkin and the magic carpet ride will end for the Jets.

In the bye era, has a #1 seed ever faced the #6 and #5 seeds for a trip to the Super Bowl before this year? It couldn't be gift-wrapped any better for Indy.

Watch the film. He blew out his knee making a move. No one touched him until after his ligaments shredded.

You had a good point about the Pats and Welker, and then you made it suck.

However, all this karma stuff is a little annoying.

I hope the Jets win. Then again, I live 20 minutes from Giants stadium, so I'm a bit biased.

When you compare strengths to weaknesses, most definitely.

Which is the same strategy employed by the Bengals and Chargers, yet the Jets still had success with the run. I don't see why it wouldn't follow that the Jets would have similar success against a defense (particularly rush defense) that is even worse.

I still like the Colts to win because of Manning, but I'd be shocked if this game is a blowout.

Jets have not faced a QB of Manning's calibre yet in the Playoffs. I have a feeling he will dissect the Jets' defense. If they put Revis on Wayne, Manning won't care, he'll just throw to Clark, Garcon, Collie, etc. The only hope the Jets have of winning is if they continuously get pressure on Peyton and sack him. Give Manning time, and he will march down the field.

If there is a god that controls sports outcomes then obviously the Jets will win.

I don't see how the Colts don't win but still they did lie down for them or else we (the Texans) would have been trounced by the SD after celebrating our first playoff victory. What could have been.

Still I am a Texans fan but will be rooting for the Colts. Not for any other reason but to prove to everyone how good Payton Manning really is. He has to win more than just one SB. He kicks our but every year until and to validated our crappy record against the Colts he has to get more out of his career.

Thats how I tie it back to helping the Texans....

    Couldn't have been the Raiders

Go from HOF QB to a rookie QB that is turnover prone. Ryan has done a great job in NY.

Picking Colts and Vikings this weekend.

Then ESPN will have a field day for two weeks about Manning and Favre.

Just comparing strengths and weaknesses is a poor way to analyze a game. A lot more goes into it. Based on this, the Ravens should have beaten the Colts, or at least been more difficult.

If the Jets get more than one score behind, they are done. Freeney and Mathis will say hello to Sanchez more than a few times. The Jets must hope the Colts choke like the Chargers and fail to capitalize on field position and scoring opportunities. Their defense will be better prepared to stop the one-dimensional Jets offense and their offense is more precise and fine tuned than the Chargers.

I don't say this to smack Norv Turner, but the Colts are coached MUCH better than the Bolts. Unless Manning gets injured, the Jets don't have a good chance. I'll say this: I'd rather the Colts lose to the Jets than the Chargers, Ravens or Patriots. It would be an incredible story if the Jets went to the Super Bowl, but it won't happen.

I hate that some say, "well the texans had their chance."
If that's the line of thinking, then no 9-7 team should have played in the playoffs. The NFL should have just allowed the colts, chargers, bengals, and patriots to contend. Fact is, the Jets didn't earn it either.

With that said, the jets are making the best out of their opportunity. One has to respect that, and I'm bringing my curtis martin jersey out of retirement. Go JEts!! A victory by the Jets may not be Karma, but it will leave every colts fan in a state of shock. We can then post those Nelson pics that read "HaHa"

Agreed. Not that my picks for this postseason have been spot-on or anything, but I just can't see a team like the Jets winning this game. As mentioned, the Jets pulling off the upset would require some major gagging on part of the Colts.

I understand that. I also understand we lost games we shouldn't have. Thats on us, but the way they got in is ridiculous. If you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you.

As for my Peyton statement, yeah that was sarcasm.

Of course, he's also unemployed now.

You play to win the game - when they count for something. If the Colts didn't value 16-0, then the last few games didn't count for them any more than preseason games do. And no one suggests that people play preseason games to win the game.
