    No.

Caldwell should be fired if he plays his starters another second and Reggie Wayne or Joseph Addai ends up pulling a Hammy (See Welker, Wes)

    End of discussion.

I fail to see the Texans aspect of the question, therefore thread moved...

    This is just ****ing stupid.

Karma defined = Wes Welker tearing his ACL in a meaningless game.

How do you people fail to realize that resting your starters when you've got the #1 seed wrapped up is a very normal move?

How do you fail to realize the irony in the fact that the Colts had a chance to knock the Jets (or at least SEVERELY hinder their chances) out of the playoffs and rolled over, and now might get bumped outta the Superbowl by them?

I'm sure Jim Caldwell was ****ting his pants the whole time IN WEEK 16 THINKING ABOUT IT.

Jesus Christ you guys really baffle me sometimes.

The colts didn't roll over and play dead.

They did what any smart team would have done and pulled their starters because they had nothing to play for.

It would be delicious. I've bet against the Jets every game so far, and I'm going to bet against them next week, too, but I don't even know anymore. I could easily see that team in the Super Bowl.

I hope the colts lose. That resting their starters will be for nothing.

So was it Karma that the Texans didn't beat the Jets
and the Jets prevented them from going to the playoffs?

While it wouldn't be karma, it would be pretty hilarious nonetheless.

The Colts had some say-so in whether or not they would allow the Jets into the playoffs.

They chose to open the door for them.

It isn't about strategy (sitting vs. not sitting), it's about unintended consequences.

A 31 YO Thomas Jones picked up 1400 yds and 14 TDs but I guess that was all Rex Ryan and nothing to do w/their amazing OL. Yeah I think that might help Sanchez just a little bit, and keep their D off the field and rested.

I wonder if the Patriots would have liked Wes Welker against the Ravens?

Hey Texan Fan . .. The Texans hurt Welker and hurt the Patriots' chances to advance in the playoffs
Would it be Karma if a Certain Texans Receiver was hurt?

Who do you think the Colts were rooting for in this game?

The Team they were up on before they pulled starter on both sides of the ball
    or
the team that booted them out of the playoffs the last 3 times they met in the playoffs?

This is a dream come true for a Colts fan. Just rinse and repeat the Ravens game and see ya Miami.

I can understand resting your starters. I don't like it, but I can understand why it's done.

I can also understand Colts fans being pissed about losing the 'perfect season'. It's a rare thing, so just shrugging away a shot at it will not sit well with other folks.

HOWEVER, where I think the League is really going to have a problem with it (and why they even bothered to say they were going to 'look into it') is when it's not just the 'last game of the season'...Colts did it next to last. What if they could have done it 3 weeks early?

NFL brass is not going to be too happy with the schedule having 'meaningless' games weeks before the playoffs. Really skews things for the teams fighting for something.

I think maybe it will be less of a problem than people think, though, unless a ****load of mediocre .500 teams late in the season is going to be the norm from here on out.

Having said all that, I hope the Jets beat the **** out of the Colts. Mainly because it would be awesome for the team the Colts let in the door to take them out, and because, you know, it's the FREAKIN' COLTS.
