Sorry for coming across as a d*** in my last post. I was excited and just got back from the bars. I meant no disrespect to the Eagles or their season. That stinks things played out the way they did in your game. I would have loved an All-PA Super Bowl. Philly had a great run, plus their grit and fight in this game was very admirable. If you would have told me at halftime that Philly would have came back and took the lead at some point I probably would have slapped you.

Agreed on two defenders no matter what and trying to get physical with Fitz at the line of scrimmage. Make Boldin beat you. Make Breaston beat you. Just don't challenge the deceptively fast, 6'3" guy with leaping ability and some of the best hands in the league to beat you.

If what you're saying is true and power was taken away from Jim Johnson in a game of this magnitude that's rather puzzling. Fitz going nuts in the first half was clearly the difference in the game. If you're playing the "blame game" whoever this McDermott guy is certainly deserves his share for that reason.

Yeah, I wouldn't have said that if I were sober. I guess my sensitivity level for players that get hurt every single game was pretty low at the time. I do wish him the best though.

Yeah, it was great while it lasted. Now I am just waiting for the Eagles call-in show to start and listen to these whiners say how badly they want Reid and/or McNabb gone.

Exactly! That's really all I can say.

I don't necessarily know if it is true but I read it on ESPN's website and the Eagles own website so I am going to say it was reality. McDermott is the Eagles secondary coach. As I stated, he just let Fitzgerald eat the defense up and he is a high candidate for several defensive coordinator positions. Go figure.

Understandable. I just hate to see fans so into their team that they celebrate or poke fun at the injury of another team's player. In the end it is just a game and I think many people forget about that. As much as I despise the Cowboys or Owens or any other player or team, I would never make fun of one of them getting injured. It was disgusting when Eagles fans cheered Irvin's broken neck and it is disgusting anytime a fan or fan base celebrates something like that. Glad you were not in your right state of mind when you said it though. ;)

I hope Pittsburgh pulls it out in the Super Bowl though just so another team has more titles than the Cowboys! :D

I hear ya. My ticket for the game fell through so I watched the game at this megabar type of place next to Heinz Field with something like 1,500 Steelers fans. Sadly, there was plenty cheering when players got hurt. Not everybody, but I guess you'll have that though. I wasn't cheering the injury with my comment just more or less scoffing at somebody made of glass like McGahee playing in this type of "man's game".

Keep us posted on this. Just curious on how Eagles fans are feeling about those two.

I'll be responding in the NFC thread. The call-in show is about to wrap up and I'll put more details in there.
