dont suffer from Houston Texans fan syndrome where you hate everybody who's better than you.. Great AFC game, Good teams in the superbowl. two African American coaches. Joseph Addai is from Htown, Cedric/Nathan from Texas its gonna be good.
Nick, these are the kind of doubts that get you put in a home . Brady led his team to three Super Bowls in four years. You are about the only non-Raiders fan who is doubting him. If Caldwell doesn't drop that last pass and they get a touchdown then the Patriots would probably be going to another Super Bowl. No quarterback in NFL history, with the possible exception of Troy Aikman has been as successful as quickly as Tom Brady. It's not open for debate. As for the game, I am very, very happy the Colts won. The more cool guys like Tony Dungy win, as oppossed to the jerks like Belichek, the better it is for the game.
I cant stand the pats. Did anyone see how quickly brady ran off the field after the game ended without even trying to congratulate Manning? And then belichik seemingly was trying to walk away from Manning the entire time and as Manning finally caught up to him to shake hands Belichik just brushed him aside and walked away without saying anything. Yeah those two TOTAL CLASS. At least the colts in their defeats were gracious losers unlike the pats. (bruschi was the only pat "star" I saw openly congratulating peyton after the L)
He's a Super Bowl QB... no doubt... but I'm not putting him in Elway/Montana class. He's had some big wins, but he's had some FORTUNATE wins as well... you're not going to convince me otherwise. He's definitely in Aikman's class... probably past it... Troy was another guy fortunate enough to be on a great team (but his team POUNDED the competition in the big games... whereas Brady's do exactly enough to win).
I'm sooo happy that the Colts won. I thought it was game over in the first half. Ending on a pick was perfect.
Yeah - as long as Addai does not go on a drug/alcohol bender in Mexico a la the last SHS guy right before a Super Bowl. Or maybe they'll discover that he never actually graduated (like everyone else that was there at that time) now that the spotlight is more on him. Simply put, there cannot be a positive national story about Sharpstown. It simply is against nature.
First of all, I'm NOT a Pats fan and never will be. Brady is obviously better than Aikman, who is incredibly overrated. He played on great teams who stockpiled talent. He was finicky with receivers and moody. Put Brady on the Cowboys and they maybe win 2 more Super Bowls. Put Aikman on the Pats and they don't win any, IMO. Brady is every bit as good as Elway was. They are very comparable QBs and Brady may surpass Elway eventually. I'm not crazy enough to put Brady in Montana's class. Brady has been great in the playoffs but the zone Montana played in was unreal. Given time, Brady may get there.
i don't hate everybody better than the texans. i've hated the bears since 1985. i've hated the colts since i don't remember when. not a manning fan at all. i'm just not interested. i don't have a rooting interest, at all.
how do you hate the 85 bears???!!! sweetness walter payton, the fridge, jim mcmahon dikta! i ate at Ditkas in chicago along time ago, it was great place. they even let me sit in front of the big screen so i can watch my fantasy football players play.
because Houstonian and Stratford alum, Craig James, was a pro bowl running back for the Pats that year. and i hated that Bear team.
wow, what a game. i loved watching the hooded one have his heart broken. i'm not a big manning fan but he's a great player who needed a win like this to dispell all the haters. i don't dislike the bears but i'll be pulling for indy because of dungy. he got fired from tampa and had to watch chuckie win the superbowl with the team he built. he never said a cross word and to me he is the epitome of class. more than anything though, i just hope it's a good game.
Interesting Super Bowl matchup... At one time, I was a huge Bears fan but now they are a team that doesn't really mean anything to me - I'm indifferent towards them (although I do love Devin Hester). Meanwhile, I can't stand the Colts and Peyton Manning (mainly because they have destroyed my Broncos in the playoffs and I have never liked Manning mainly because he played at Tennessee which I hate). I would love to see the Bears win but I don't have much confidence in Rex Grossman for him to pull that off.
I apologize to Peyton that last Drive I Commented to my friends that he would choke "So tell me Peyton .. what will it be this year . .Fumble. . interception or a Good ole 4 and out?" - Me But he did it .. he did it The defense showed up in the second half 13 pts is alot NE got aided by a few Calls and some good Special Teams WAY TO GO DUNGY WAY TO GO PEYTON Rocket River
