Ok I didn't read anything 'cept the title but isn't that sort of like asking "In the ocean, where should I swim?" I mean, it's Cali right?
Fair enough, but I've really only got two nights in LA (Tuesday and Thursday) and a Wednesday in SF, so we want to know not only a particular bar, but particular areas, i.e. "Hot Spots." We are certainly capable enough to get into trouble on our own without anyone's help, but it never hurts to ask! Of course I see your point, but we just want to be as prepared as we can be. We could hop in a cab and say "Onward to the titty bar, cabbie! Make haste!" and wind up at that nasty place RMTex was talking about. Always good to be prepared, oh yeah.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!! In LA, hit Santa Monica (Promenade and surrounding areas). If you have time, venture down to the beach towns...Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach & Redondo Beach. In San Francisco, hit North Beach. Enjoy, and STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM JUMBO'S CLOWN ROOM!!
Lynus, I just flew into San Jose earlier this evening at around 8PM. This city is a f'n craphole. Do not come over here. Stay in San Fran. The only reason why I'm here is for training, and a visit to a local HDD supplier manufacturing facility. On the positive side, I will be here until next Sunday. I'm driving around in a yellow Ford Mustang convertible, which I hope to drop the top on tomorrow. I plan on checking out the San Fran nightlife this weekend. Also, I want to hit up the wharf, and check out a Giants game if they're in town. It'd be nice to drive up to the see the giant Redwood trees as well.
