    This. This. This.

I got exertional headaches lifting weights. Felt like the left side of my head was going to explode. Turned out it wasn't serious. The peace of mind was priceless. Now I sometimes I take ibuprofen before working out.

Go to your PCP, describe everything and get an opinion. Then go from there.

Yeah, your core temp is way up for quite a while after you play. I start getting them while i'm playing, but don't really notice until after I stop playing.

Same thing happens to me, but usually it is when I play without eating that day.

    It could be exhaustion.

All the same, I would get my blood pressure checked as well. The exercise could be causing a spike in BP.

Thats crazy man, i've had the same problem for a long time. I've played for a long time and atleast 3-4 days a week, 2-3 hours per session. I would get home later that day and just get the biggest pounding headache ever. In fact, last night i had one and it was horrible. Im going to try advil before i play and see if that works. Thanks for the advice, hopefully it will work.

Try drinking Gatorade or another sports drink as someone else mentioned.
Drinking water is good but it does not replenish the electrolytes lost if you sweat a lot during the exercise.

For me I occasionally get minor headaches/sleepiness after playing really hard or for a longer time than usual, but it's generally because I did not replenish enough electrolytes during and after the activity.

Gatorade and other sports drinks contain sodium and potassium which are vital for bodily function, especially brain function.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I didn't know these "electrolytes" were serious. I thought maybe those Gatorade commercials are just over-exaggerating stuff.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one... I mean, not that I'm happy you guys get it too, but I'm glad it's not as serious as I thought it would be.

    :)
