Free Advance Screening of "Evil Dead" 3/25 8PM

    Meh..... Bloody gore and chainsaw kept it from being a snoozefest... Didn't help that the format was not corrected properly on a screen then again it is free and kudos to Dave2000 for tix... I'm curious to see how this film will look in a good theater state of the art, might be worth it for the gore effects...

    I thought it was meh. Horror movies don't do it for me like it did before. Thought it'd be better to see it with a college crowd, but there wasn't that defining "oh ****" moment scream from everybody, not 1, hell there was a crap load when I saw an advance screening of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" at UH back in '97. Agree the gore made the movie, but that still didn't save it for me to like it.

    Probably will never attend an advance screening if its at UH again. I saw an advance screening of "Gladiator" back in 2000 and it wasn't that bad of a viewing. Was showing in a multipurpose like room, and just had 2 front speakers. Guess I'm just use to stadium seating theaters now.

    Word.. Is Cabin In The Woods good? I hope it's better than Evil Dead 2013...
