Wow, great analysis... and it is very logical.. Well I wish Stern did not nixed that trade so we can still have Jeremy Lin...
You know Max, this just reeks of "Gotta do something" syndrome. Morey has made a ton of deals, but the team is not appreciably better today than it was before. While some trades seem like upgrades, they don't lead to wins, and you have to keep guys together a while to get chemistry, with all this flipping, I doubt this team or any team under Morey's leadership will ever get there.... Gasol - is he a game changer......IMO - no. DD
I am thinking the Lakers want to get as much for Gasol as they can before he starts to decline (I know some of you think he already has, but his numbers beg to differ).
Just a theory, but I think Woj rushed it a bit and just wanted to get it out there. He saw an unconfirmed report that Pau Gasol was traded and he threw out what he knew -- that Houston has tried to get him. Woj is money, but nothing here is new from what we've known since December. I may be wrong... just strikes me as that.
What time is the deadline, 4p? So, while following thru on the last last last dregs of trades that means closer to 5 and sorting it all out means the rest of the nite. Then, who gets bought out? Our (collective) productivity is, in fact and (lack of) deed, ruined!
Lol, you can't be helped. You said his turnovers have gone up, even though he is averaging 2.1 turnovers per game... Which is less than his career average of 2.3. Just accept it. You Gasol haters have no proof that he is declining.
Gasol + Nene + Chuck was oops, woulda/coulda/shoulda been a game changer. This isn't (likely/appearing to be) that.
@Incarceratedcheederbob Pau Gasol has been traded to the Heat for Juwan Howard, James jones and Jamal Maglore
Gotta get a Gasol if it looks like we may go all in to get Howard. Howard needs some incentive to stay in Houston if he happens to somehow end up here.
Who do you think kept the Lakers afloat the numerous times Bynum has been injured? You say the team is not better than it was before. Do you mean before as in when we had Yao? (last year) or even further back when we had McGrady?(two years ago?)
