I wouldnt trade lowry, its not that i overvalue lowry, its just that the lakers arent really in a position to be demanding lowry. To save cap space and get better rotation players, that's what the lakers should get and thats scola, dragic, bud etc.
well they did say the details are stll being worked out but those were the main pieces. It was on sports 1360 in San Diego the official laker station
Yeah they do, it works. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6u4ab7g Still not a good idea. We lose 4 wins and the Lakers gain 7. Morey loses this hypothetical trade.
Nobody is saying this trade alone makes us contenders right away. But it gets us one step closer. Who's to say there won't be any follow up trade or trades? Remember the vetoed Gasol trade? The consensus was Nene would be first in line. And if you're DWILL or DHo, who would you pair with? A bonafide all-star in Pau, or an inconsistent Lowry?
If it's just Gasol for Lowry/Scola then I'm not very happy for the trade. Something else has to happen unless maybe Bima can break down the financial side of things somehow.
This. I doubt Lowry is included or else they would have pulled the trigger already. They being the Lakers.
He wouldn't be playing right now if it was for sure. Currently 26-12 to Minny and Love is out with back spasms.
well not sure how reliable the source is but on the Drive on Sports 1360 the official laker station in san diego were talking about the trade as it was basically done and its pending. But no one else seems to be talking about it. So who knows
when I first read the title I wondered what was meant by aggressive. Does he mean DM is just pestering the crap out of the Lakers and calling every 5 minutes trying to get them to agree to Scola and maybe Martin or does that mean offering the draft picks, Scola and Lowry?
good point. .maybe thats why its pending? they are waiting till after the game to finalize? heh who knows..
I think thats fake. I hope at least. we shouldnt make any moves by next week i bet you. Im gonna stop jabbing that f5 now.
Hence there is no deal on either side. Had the Rockets relented on their demand to retain Lowry the deal would have already been done. By all indications they haven't, yet they still are at the table wanting to discuss Gasol. If Kupchak was going to capitulate on his demand for a star powered point guard instead of Chris Paul, why wait till now?
I'm just using that as an example. Of course there're more attractive places out there. Heck, we're not even on either one's wishlist. But Gasol Makes US more attractive. That's for sure.
