    Adrian Peterson Still Injured!

There is breaking news as Don Banks of SI.com is reporting that Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson re-injured his collarbone in the Fiesta Bowl and will likely need surgery that'll keep him out of action for up to 3 months. In fact, he might not even be ready for the start of training camp!. This latest revelation could take him out of the running for the #3 pick and send him plummeting towards the bottom of the Top 10.

Is he the pick at 10 - if he falls?

(sorry if this already has been posted)

If he did it in the Fiesta Bowl, why wouldn't he have gotten surgery a few months ago instead of waiting until now? It's not like he was going to be able to hide the injury from all the physicals they give and all the combine stuff and workouts, etc.

    I'm guessing this isn't true.

Well, if true, do you still pick him that high, at #10?

I would. A collarbone injury isn't likely to be something that affects him long term. Getting him at #10 would be a steal.

Of course the Texans front office are idiots, so they probably would pass on him.

it's not just that it's a collarbone injury...it's that it's injury after injury.

I can't imagine he's still got collarbone injuries. This is all probably predraft rumors, posturing etc.
Hopefully it will impact him and he will fall to the Texans though.
If he's picked at #8 or #9

sounds like he merely came back too early; fortunately, it's not another injury. still.... i'd be cautious. trading down and away from having to make a decision (while picking up additional picks) seems ideal at this point.

Was listening to SportsRadio 610 this morning and John Granato said he talked to a doctor in the know who said his AP's shoulder is good.

I want NO part of Peterson. NONE. Look at Mark Prior right now. Look at Dominick Davis-Williams. Some guys are just made of glass. Ricky Williams was supposed to tear the world up, but he had nick-nack injury after nick nack injury in NO. We need to fill holes, not toss major guaranteed money after a guy who may be a 10 games/year RB.

First round needs to be a SURE thing. He's a dice roll with major major major upside.
