My dad was adopted and when his mom died, when I was 17, we were cleaning out her house and I found some letters that talked about his biological parents. It turns out his dad had killed someone in a bar fight and his mom was in rehab. Ever since then I have been really careful about getting into trouble...
AB -- Thanks for sharing that. The same reservations (regrets) you seemed to have about searching for your birth mother are the same reasons I probably never will search for mine. At this point, she'd be nothing more than a stranger to me. I don't know if that makes sense. I feel you on the abandonment issue too. I have serious trust issues, especially with women, and I've always been told it has something to do with my adoption. Anyways, sorry to ramble. Thanks for sharing your story.
