i am trying to be patient as well. he looked extremely slow like his toe might have been bothering him. the only thing that pissed me off was the book on him not pursuing the plays was dead on. if that doesn't change i will become anti-mario williams very fast. even if you are sucking at least you can hustle.
philly does not have a great line. they gave up 31 sacks on mcnabb in 15 games the year they went to the superbowl. I'm not giving up on mario, but mario was shut down by mario. the guy is raw. no pass rushing end tries to bull rush their way to the qb like he did sunday. he just needs work.
I think they made the wrong choice and I've said so on many occasions but come on... you have to give the guy a chance. It was one freaking game.
The real question isn't if it was the right choice but "Why does it matter?". The Texans picked Williams, learn to deal with it. Now is there going to be a thread about how bad the pick is after every game? Do we really need Bush and Young updates in every thread that mentions the Texans? I know ESPN tells you that this is the most important thing in the world but there's other things about the team that can be discussed.

we had a chance to grab a few QB's and you said we shouldn't. you said Carr would be good enough. now you're back to telling us Carr is as bad as you said he was last season. for what it's worth, i think the texans made a mistake, too. i would have drafted a QB. i don't think this team had a chance in hell of being a playoff team this year...they have holes all over the place with lots of young talent. so this idea that we just couldn't wait on a young QB to develop was silly to me. but you're all over the place on this issue.
