Ya, I think Nike made a huge mistake by trying to hitch their bandwagon to Kyrie rather than Harden or Davis. Kyrie wouldn't even make the all star team in the West. Essentially they doubled down on Lebron - that his brand recognition would carry over to Kyrie as the team transferred from Lebron to Kyrie's team. It's not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint, but the reality is Kyrie is entering his 4th season and he still hasn't shown that he can be a superstar which leads me to believe he never will be one. He's a very good player, but he just doesn't have the same appeal as the league's very best players.
i dont think they are hitching their wagon to kyrie. jordan brand, lebron, durant and kobe are still their biggest sellers. if they were striving for star power they would have kept harden.
Nike didn't become a 26 billion dollar company making mistakes. Well... that's not true - ha - they've made several. But I think they know what they're doing. It isn't a coincidence that the Rockets have never had a star, Nike-endorsed player. They've passed on Yao, Hakeem, Drexler, Francis, McGrady and now Harden. Barkley and Pippen (and Harden) were all tied to Nike well before the Rockets. The moment they signed? They stopped getting huge campaigns and signature shoes. I think at this point it's quite obvious - Nike thinks Houston Rockets' basketball is bad business.
Actually he started with Nike, switched to Adidas and went on to win a bunch of championships. I wore Tim Duncans in seventh grade, anyone remember these
I said AFTER, but I am going by what he told me. Don't shoot the messenger. I wasn't there. Didn't see anything.
Guess we will not get rid of our uniforms now, the stripes on the side are very reminiscent of the adidas stripes.
They're paying Harden, not Houston. Harden would be locked up long term regardless of what we do. There's no strings on us.

yeah they're nice and simple, nothing too crazy. def look better than kyries. as a rockets fan, just cant bring myself to buy a signature shoe of Dame Lillard or Steph Curry. Both signatures look nice though
She should splay ADIDAS across her ass. Then no one would....correction: no one could miss seeing it. For the record: I am not complaining.
Uniform supplier is a league decision...one that is already going to Nike after the contract with Adidas ends in 2017. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-06-10/nike-wins-contract-to-make-nba-uniforms-taking-over-for-adidas
