Nene can pass. But he isn't good. Melo (lulz) operating from that position might have been interesting because he can also put it on the floor and score after cut options are exhausted. Ultimately a passing big wasn't a requirement of Adelman's, but it was definitely a highlight.

I don't think that offense fits this team. Gordon would love it though.

That’s a solid team with TMac. Battier, Lowry, and Artest would be so nice right about now!!!

    Freaking injuries always derailed us.

Adelman is also not an in game coach. He teaches all his wisdom on offense in practice, either you get it or you don't. After that he kinda just sits and let let everyone do their thing in game.

I remember people here complained all the time about us not running any plays out of timeouts.

I'm sure much about MDA's lack of practice is blown out of proportion , especially here on CF

But when the reason you lost the last 2 games were that you got out executed .... then some of that has to fall back on lack of practice

McGrady doesn't even count for that team, he barely played. Until Deke and Yao went down in the playoffs, that roster was a championship team coached by Adelman.

Yeah. I remember too well. I had season tickets back then.
