Typical Rick Adelman choke-job, only this time he doesn't have a good team to win in the regular season. I can't wait if we actually somehow make the Playoffs how big we are going to choke with Adelman, T-Mac, Yao, Battier, and Rafer on the team...notorious chokers. Blow a 25 pt lead in the last 8 mins? Possible.
Well, the one amusing thing about he Rox loss is the typical DD about face. Adelman has had a short bench for years - this has been posted on this BBS many times, you are just now finding this out?
I'm still trying to figure out if Adelman is leaving Yao there on purpose or if he just continually forgets to sub him. 40 minute nights for Yao...and you wonder why he's unclutch?
Rick Changed the assistant trainer and the trainer group but he didn't change the starting line up. Is he planning to win the champion with this startin line up? Come on. Why don't he make any adjustment since the starting of the seoson? Unbelievably he is still using back the last years starting line up UNTIL now.
So pittyful for YAO. If still unchanged, one day he will get injured too. Give him some break, he is a human not and robot, why he have to fight so hard but some one have to sit there and watch......
It is not an about face, it is calling it like you see it. Niether JVG nor Adelman is as good as Popovich, who uses his bench. And Donkey you are correct, they have a much better bench this year. Last night was a team wide collapse......no pick and rolls, no drives with them in the penalty and too many turnovers. Maddening. DD
helluva job by Adelman last night. Excellent rotation, great adjustments, nice motivation and accountability. bravo. that 10 seed is ours!!!
what gets me the most annoyed is not that they even lost lass night. It's that I can't even rely on them getting called out for that pathetic performance by the head coach. it would have been great to see JVG in that post game interview...i miss those so much
How can any of you sit here and have anything good to say about AD. He took a team that was one of the top four teams in the west last year. Except that team had no bence whatsoever and this team is one of the deepest benches in the league. We are not even .500!! I never thought I would say it but I would kill to have JVG coaching out team this year. AD is the second worst coach in the NBA only behind Isaiah Thomas. He needs to be fired right now so a new coach can come in and have the rest this year as a learning experience and we can start fresh next year. I dont want to wait till we miss the playoffs then fire AD and then get a new coach who sucks it up next season and just says "oh I need time to teach my new system" and waste another year when our team has the talent to make the finals. PLEASE FIRE AD NOW!!!!!!
Oh ya and AD plays Yao non stop not giving a crap about his health. That is another reason we need to fire AD or Yao will get hurt or just plain have his body ruined by playing such extended minutes for us and then spending the other part of the year playing extended minutes or China. Please for the love of all rockets fans, AD has got to go soon or mark my words he will leave this team in a place that we dont want to be!!!!!!
Nah, I think the guy has done a bad job so far, but he needs at least a whole season to see if it was a good or bad move. And we are above .500 right now
I don't have time to read through all pages but since i haven't followed the Rockets until the playoffs last year (i haven't seen anything between 98-99 and 2006-2007 except for a few games) can some1 please tell me how the Rockets won 52 with Yao and McGrady injured for quite some games ? I ask this because the Rockets 92-93 had 55 wins and had a really great team but it seems like last year's team wasn't that great (if i look at the players this year and last year) and it sounds like they played ugly under JVG and still got results. Please tell me how the Rockets looked the last few years and if players like Battier, Head etc. were better last year than this year. Much appreciated
