Adelman to use more zone defense

    Funny how no one else can stop them form winning two Championships in a row if zone shuts them down.......

    Rockets zoning up a lot early on against Denver tonight.

    Yea it didn't make much of a difference. Rockets didn't commit to players and gave them just enough room to shoot. This is probably because they are still new at this type of defense though.

    One game doesn't make a difference..wait and see the result in a few games time...

    This is only true if the lockdown defense you use creates either lots of turnovers or long rebounds that your team can get to, both of which can lead to easy fast break buckets.

    I would love to see the Rockets try something like this. It's not like the current defense is doing much right now. Using zone defense, teaching Hill to give outlet passes like Hakeem or Thorpe use to do, and set up a quick counter strike. And/Or have Lee, Martin, or Brooks be a bit more aggressive and play the passing lanes a bit more to force steals and get easy hoops.
