It's so obvious that Ish makes us 10x better whenever he's in the game. It's too bad he's not as established as Brooks or he'd be getting regular minutes from the start. Lowry off the bench made our 2nd unit pretty good, and Ish makes us just as good. Sorry to say but Brooks is the odd man out.
I actually like the starting line up as it is..just have ish take ABs minutes minutes with the second unit. They really played well in the Denver game..like more of that..brooks should walk out on the team more often..we beat Denver because he wasn't in the building..
Move AB to 3rd string, play Ish 2nd. Lee at SG. Battier will be 1st or 2nd string SF. Quite possibly, Bud to the end of the bench. I don't think RA is going to give T-Will many minutes at this time. 15 max. He might give Lee some SF minutes. I wouldn't mind giving Jeffries some SF mins, but I guess that's not going to happen. Will it? PF: PPatt some, Hayes some (with Hill playing C). RA doesn't like PPatt as much as this forum does. Maybe Hill if Miller is playing C. C: Miller or Hill, depending on how things are going. Really, if you look at PF/C together, Hayes will get lots of minutes, as will Scola. On any given night, a mixture of Miller, Hill, PPatt. I don't think any of these averages 20 minutes a game, and it's a toss-up between now and the end of the year as to who gets the most minutes. Whatever trades we make in the next 11 days will mix this up. I think AB's play makes it less likely we trade Lee. I also get the feeling RA is less interested in playing young players that aren't producing, and for his way of thinking, T-Will, PPatt, maybe Hill will have to earn their minutes. maybe Ish, depending on how AB plays.
I like this. It makes alot of sense, almost too much sense. I still think the season is done. No size, limited athleticism across the frontline, bad startegy to start the season.
This. At this juncture in the Rockets' season, this for me, is the most sensible thing for them to do. I am not keeping my hopes up that this would happen though.
The changes in rotation are probably going to stay the same till after the trade deadline. I've agreed with what Adelman has done this year with the rotation, but if the rotations don't change after the deadline then I don't know what to say.
Take Chase out of the rotation, put T-Will in as the pg, but defensive matchups their SF, use AB and Lee as perimeter scorers.
Gezz, Louise, then we'd have two flipped out point guards! I'm surprised durvasa suggested it, although I badly want to see Smith in the rotation while AB "finds himself." Give Ish AB's minutes, start Lowry, give Lee a heck of a lot more minutes, from AB, Bud, and Lowry, and find some way to get Williams 10 minutes a game, consistently, and let's see what he can do. Things definitely need to be shook up. Putting Lowry on the bench with Ish starting is not the way to do it, in my opinion. It is a bold idea, though!
Teams second units aren't exactly going to be the best players in the world, so the defense needs to be decent, not brilliant, problem is right now with AB and CB on the court, their combined defensive strengths would still be the worst defender in the nba...
Adelman talks about Dallas having three guys on the perimeter who can handle the ball and how the Houston "big guys" needed to put "a hit on them", but no one would do it. Shane was the best at it, he said. Sounds like he was pretty frustrated with the frontcourt players. Maybe Hill especially?
He just realized this? Amazing, 4 coaches in 7 salary range just caught on. Rumor is he was forced to read all my post.
Lowry will walk out of the bench. Let him start for 5 mins then put in Ish. But i'm with you, Lowry can make the second unit work.
Scola did not play at the 4th. Brad, at the entire 2nd half. - Ish has shown he's capable of running the 2nd unit better than Aaron. I see no need of putting Kyle with them.
Spoken like a true Clutchfan... bench one of the more defensively consistent players and put in the message board's favorite bench warmer. That will fix everything.
