Oh yeah and Sloan doesnt need to be GIVEN a quality roster, he will turn whatever he has into a quailty roster.
Hell, no. He obviously has his good points but he's stubborn to a fault and a constant whiner and constantly wants to trade away his roster. And I don't mean, "Let's trade Brad Miller", but: "Let's go ahead and trade Kevin Martin for Brendon Haywood, why not?" "Uh, Larry, there's a reason I turned that down, you'd be trading a 23 ppg player for an overpaid backup center." "We need a center." "Fine, Larry, but how 'bout we act less....imPULsively?"
I have to grudgingly agree about the Knicks. Coaching a stable, veteran Stoudemire/Anthony combo would be right up his alley. I don't know if the Knicks can fire D'Antoni after the first decent season in a long while though, even if it is an upgrade. I don't think the Clippers is a good fit though. One, he'd be a fool to work for Sterling. Two, he's probably too expensive for Sterling anyway. Three, I think their roster is too young for him; I think his system is best-suited to guys who have been around the block.
