I'm very impressed w/ T-Will's interview. Maybe it is all the twitter drama but I was surprised at how well he handled himself. From first taking a moment to reflect on former teammates that were traded to stating that he isn't owed anything but plans on putting his best foot forward if the opportunity arises. He also let his hunger be known, but he also showed self control. Great. Unleash Terrance!!!
Reporter to TWill: "Are you a volcano ready to explode?" TWill: "In the air... not on anybody." Great answer! I hope TWill can get some playing time tomorrow night.
I feel bad for Adelman. He arrived here thinking we could win a chip with T-Mac and Yao, but now that team is long gone. He's not going to want another season of mediocrity.
Adelman checked out before the season even started. That wasn't hard to know based on his substitutions and how he has addressed the media. Good riddance. His days as a HOF caliber coach ended not too long after he landed in Houston.
So, I think it's safe to say we will have a new coach next season? Adelman does not seem to be into this team at all.
Looks like these trades were made to tank the rest of the season for a a better draft pick. Thats the only explanation for these trades.
Moreover, its not his strength. If this is the direction we're going we need to get a "teaching coach" Adelman is more a players coach for a veteran squad. He may be up to the challenge but I think we need someone more in the vein of Larry Brown to teach discipline and show these guys how to play the game.
T-Will os going to be a solid player, at least, when he gets some P.T. P.S. Is it just me, or in Chuck's interview did he seem a little awkward in a "H*LL NO" kinda way when he thought they were asking him if he wanted Adelman back? @1:25 mark.
I honestly dont see how Carmelo Anthony can score more than the 50 points he scored on Battier or how Monta Ellis can have a higher season high against Budinger than he did vs Battier. How bad we can get than we already are at defense with Budinger over Battier. I can see how might score more and even fast break more. Maybe give up worse big time buckets on the clutch down the stretch on Budingers opponent. Maybe even have some big nights on Budinger similar to Battier. Budinger might match some of those points though with his own. So?? We will see.
Lol Adelman disappointed losing two guys important to the teams success....ummm Adelman...what success?
Interesting how Adelman mentioned the Suns run a similiar system. If the Rockets can snare Nash in the off-season/draft day and Alexander extends a contract to Adelman... It'd be a fluid transition? I think you're projecting a little there. Adelman was all about not giving up and keep on keeping on.
I am very interested to see the team play a couple of games now. I always felt like Battier, with this group we had, was actually hurting us. He is a player that doesn't look to score. The defense did not have to worry about him driving or anything. He is better when you have players drawing double teams and can kick it out to him for a spot up 3. So now we have Shane and T Will players who will look for their shots. When Battier scored more than 12 I think we won almost every game. Just sayin.... I know Battier added value with leadership and hustle and some D on occassion, but with no shot blocker his D is not as good. Ab is gone. So that might help also. He held the ball too long and was not a good set up guard. If he wasn't hitting is outside shot he didn't do anything else to help the team (no assists, no steals). Dragic seems to be able to score in multiple ways and is a good passer and defender. Kinda has that unorthodox game. I wanna see what he can bring. We will miss Aaron's hot streaks, but those have been few and far bwtween lately.
