Are you watching Rockets games?? The current squad will win more games without him?? Hmmmm Our soooo called go to guy can't even dribble/ shoot. He is a good transition player / defender but come on. That quote is pure hatred for the man.
I would take adelman over anyone in the organization. To me, it doesn't matter till tracy is playing or gone. I'm not going to hide behind a poll and vote because of the messager. We know adelman wants tracy at full tilt or not at all. It has nothing to do with adelman style or t-mac style as it is coach wanting the guy to be able to play throttle. I knew it wouldn't be long before DD said he knew and he was right. I guess we will see.
I think TMac can help the team now, but I'd like to see him play within the team concept that this group has shown. Intense defense, hustle, effort, etc. So, I vote Adelman.
That's doesn't bother me DD, but I know and anyone that reads this board knows your feelings. One minute u say tracy impedes the progress of the young guys but who is impeding Chase and Landry's development? Wouldn't that be battier and scola? I think there is always middle ground on situations contrary to what most think. No matter if the insurance pays or the termination date, they're either going to have to activate and play, tell him to go home like they did iverson and tinsley, or trade him. If he says he's ready and they don't think he ready, he can file a greivence with the nba and get a doctor through the nba to make the determination. So far, none of that has happened which leads me to thinks its not fire and brimstone as some would suggest. Its collectively bargained that if he's under contract and cleared by doctors that they have to make a move. That's as clear as it gets and when you throw the whole insurance thing into it, that's something else.
Added to my signature in response to this thread, and the front page... Lets not forget how he gave up on teams before the rox, how he never stays healthy, how he underwent surgery without the consultation of the team and staff, how he 'chooses' his return date and is just disrespectful to this wonderful squad and management.
I think Battier will be traded after he downloads all his info to Chase and Trevor..they will learn a lot from his dedication to detail. As for the rest, I agree, it may come down that way, we shall see. DD
Where's the third option DD? We can have Adelman and the future development, plus T-Mac come in and help us now and in the future . They can coincide .
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6731426.html so there was no heated exchange between the 2? looks like tmac and adelman are not opposed to each other after all so this poll is now irrelevant. show's over. move along end thread.
RA: Yeah, we had some words. I told him to shut the hell up and listen to daddy. Obviously we're not arguing anymore, and he didn't play so who won that one?" Yeah, I'm sure they tell the reporters everything, exactly how it happened.
LOL what alleged showdown? Oh that's right YOU alleged it so now lets make a poll based on your brilliant allegations. What makes you think T-Mac would walk? What do you mean by T-Mac is an "individual" talent? Obvious shot at his supposed lack of "team play". The reality is there is no battle going on here. Coach is going with Morey and the Rockets in claiming that T-Mac isn't ready so they aren't accused for blatant insurance fraud. I guarantee you that after the MRI and full practice that Adelman will say he looks good. Where does this come from exactly? Hopefully you're not looking at last year's T-Mac. I've already seen a couple of losses this season that would've been Ws if Tracy were playing.
It's not an unbiased question - it's like a political "push poll" Your very question has bias warped into it...the assumption that it's EITHER T-mac or Adelman - that there is no in-between. That in and of itself represents a bias of opinion.
First of all, DD your post assumes that T-Mac is anywhere near full strength. His body might be fine and all, but I seriously doubt he is playing anywhere near top form, like ready to go toe to toe with Kobe or D-Wade? I don't see him playing like that this season or probably ever again. The last time I saw peak T-Mac was about 2006. But supposing T-Mac were in absolutely peak form: in this situation I would go with the team (I mean Adelman, and sure Morey's with him on this, and the owner too). Our team is playing pretty well. Give all-star T-Mac all-star minutes, 36 or 37, and take those minutes from someone else: I don't think you get *that* much more scoring. And you mess with the offense in other ways. And you lose something on defense probably. Even an all-star T-Mac is not going to make this team that much better. A starting center would upgrade this team more than T-Mac. T-Mac could make this a second-round team at most.
Yao has at least one first round win, and how many first round wins has McGrady after 11 years in the NBA? Fools gold?
I like how the pro tmac arguments can just be reversed and easily applied to the false idol they're representing.
