Neither. Normally with the way things have played out, I would go with the coach since, well, he's less likely to go anywhere in the near future. It's hard for me to go with the guy who thinks playing Ariza so much. Go coach him. I don't know if that will help. His decision making just is not there. He probes...kind of, and gets stuck, pivot, pivot, pass of or attempt a very tough shot. Very frustrating to watch.
I say Adelman Think about it if Tracy is such a superstar then any superstar should be able to adapt to the different styles that the team may need him to do. I know 7 to 8 minutes wasn't enough but hey you know what do what your asked to do and believe me you will get that chance. Since the Rockets are doing a good job now and playing well the rockets aren't in a dire need of help from tracy to come back so fast from his surgery. I love tracy and all but the team doesn't need to have any DRAMA right now. Hopefully it will work out for the both of them but for now the right choice was to go with RA.
This is a "push" poll. It wasn't about Adelman vs. T-mac or Playing for now or the future. It was about the fact that T-mac wasn't ready and yet still wanted to play his way back to being a star. And Adelman not wanting to do that. Simple as that. You are putting things into false terms. And really, how many more t-mac threads do we need dude?
I'll admit that I didn't read through all 11 pages of this thread, so if this has already been covered then I apologize. Somewhat of a misleading poll. If you've listened to what Adelman has said, it's not a matter of win now vs develop for later. Adelman is saying that the best chance to win now is stick with what we are doing. He's said multiple times that we have a better change to win now using the current system rather than running things through McGrady. From today's Chronicle: As far back as training camp, Adelman had predicted how things would turn out. The Rockets had a group that needed to play fast to be competitive, and they had a once-great player who was either uncomfortable with playing fast or unable to. “The thing people want to write about is who he was two years ago,” Adelman said. “He isn’t that right now. We have a whole team. It’s not just about what he wants or what he was going to want. It was about what can he do to help us win.” Adelman worried that McGrady’s complaining — and his unproductive minutes — were beginning to hurt the team on the court. Over the last two weeks, the Rockets’ defense had gotten worse, their offense inefficient. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6791664.html Based on that, the McGrady option is win LESS now, not more.
Yep, I was pointing out that a lot of people were delusional in their thoughts about Tmac and his situation. And that the team would ultimately choose Adelman, because Tracy was not ready, his style didn't fit, and he is a prima donna.... All of which is/was true. DD
They are both whiny babies. T-Mac: "wah my back, waaah its on me", Adelman: "wah playing too much during xmas, waaah T-Mac, waaah". Get rid of them both and let MR MEAN handle some bidness.
Most of us knew how all this was gonna turn out. There were some that were disillusioned and in denial.
DD, why are you bragging about being in the 3/4 of CF readers who got this right? Isn't that like bragging about knowing Indiana Jones would eventually save the day?
