well, it's not in the same page, IMO First of all, Von is not such good player, to give him 3M per year in the NBA. Daryl use this money more accurately and brought Chase. He believed in him from the first day and now we can see, that he is good rookie on Von role. He'll progress in future, he is smarter and he doesn't have any aliens in his head. Signing Francis was only DM decision. He started making changes and needed fan support. Bringing back a Compaq Center's idol on just 3M per year - was the best way to do it, and Rick didn't want him in team and didn't consider him as a valuable player.
LOL. You're right. The Rockets should also post their draft strategy going into draft night. As fans who pays these new guys salaries, we deserve to know who the Rockets are targeting so we can air our concerns and better options. Out of control.
Francis was still capable of getting to the basket as he showed against phoenix with the game winning layup, but adelman never really gave him pt even when alston could'nt hit a open shot. Wafer atleast attacked the basket and was still a good shooter as he showed against the celtics with the game winning shot, but adelman didn't play him much even when artest jacked up 3's all game.
http://www.talkbasket.net/news/giannakis-von-wafer-was-simply-not-up-for-it-2805.html Sure, it's only Rick Adelman who gets annoyed at Wafer. It's personal.
OMG, adelman said he's not playing tmac before a week he had already said he wasn't playing him, alert the press!!! C'mon now. the whole point of this tmac standoff is to not bring him back too early or suddenly. Playing him for one game just to replace trevor isn't gonna happen. Its stupid to even ask, but i guess the media wouldnt be doing it's job if it didnt. Shane will just play 30+, bud will play 30+ and look for the lowry and brooks combo to get some minutes together as well. One game of that isn't going to ruin the season, might actually turn out just fine.
Rick is interesting type of coach. If he needs you - he'll do everything he can to make a good player of you. If he doesn't need you - he would bench you until you'll be traded or your contart will over. Petrovic, Gerald wallace, Francis and T-Mac are provin' that
That is not the same thing. Its like how they were waiting to announce that yao would be out so they could sell more season tickets.
This is kind of like the VY situation except the rockets are winning. The owner needs to step just so at least we can trade him.
Point is, shouldn't you always put the best players on the floor to win regardless of their relationship between each other. I didn't no their job was to be best friends.
That's the mindset of a team intent on winning a championship in the current year. Do you think this applies to us?
ugh....whatever, I can't believe so many people think this team +Yao is enough to win a championship next year and beyond. T-Mac is still an elite player. It's the same with every player, they miss time and they are forgotten by fans. The crap he pulled last year sucked but he is our best option at having an all star guard and a closer. We all know we won't have the cap to bring in another star. All-Star Guards win in today's league. Not only that, but the league is turning into 3-4 all star players per contender. So if we are really holding him out b/c he is not in our future plans, then wrong move. ATLEAST let him try and do his thing with 30 minutes of time so we can trade him. Don't give that afraid to ruin chemistry garbage, this team is not going to win anything this year. We have a few months before the deadline, you telling me playing T-Mac a few months in order to get teams interested is going to set back the growth of Ariza, Bud, etc? Come on. But, if they all agree to wait till Rick+Morey+T-Mac and the rest of the team see that T-Mac is 100% before he gets back on the court in order to avoid going in and out, then i say carry on.
Currently, it the most difficult time period for the rockets. If they ever need Tmac, it should be now. Honestly, I don't buy what Adelman said that he din't want play Tmac untill the schedule gets easier. Why won't they carry Taylor by then? Taylor is in rockets' future plan, but Tmac is not.
T-mac is all but gone from the rockets. sure he'll play a couple of games for them this year but that's it. He'll either be traded and most definitely not resigned. Even if you're the biggest t-mac supporter you have to realize this. He's not in the future for the rockets. And its probably the best for him and the rockets.
