Nice point but it's wasted on here. People see what they want to see on here. According to some, if you say anything positive about T-Mac you have a problem and if you say anything negative about him you're a genius.

This is Clutchfans where double standards and hypocrisy happen...

He is complaining about the 4 straight back to backs.

Of course teams have back to backs. Im not sure if any other team in the NBA has 4 straight back to backs though.

Adelman was just being playful and baiting the reporters. He wasn't making a joke at McGrady's expense.

McGrady fans needs to settle and go download some wallpapers of him or something...

First, take some English lessons. Second, you don't think he's coaching this team the right way? Really? Have you looked at our record? It's pretty amazing considering the expectations going into this season; especially considering we're ranked between first to third in terms of Strength of Schedule with the games we've played so far.

We just signed a 24 year old Trevor Ariza to 5 year deal; with Yao out for the season it seems like the best season to develop him and see what he can and can't do.

TMac isn't star player caliber right now and hasn't been since 2007. I'm a big big TMac fan but c'mon now he hasn't been 'TMac' in a really long time. Adelman is absolutely right not to get us into that bad situation again until TMac is 'TMac'.

I think Ariza is nearly full developed player.
The best position of Ariza should be SF that do not need too much dribble...
His style will not change much in the future.

lol. adelman slipped. rocket's plan was to trade tmac all this time.

adelman doesnt want to play tmac and then trade him later because it'll disrupt the team. just imagine if tmac came in and played well. it'll mess up the offense as the team would probably start to look to tmac for offense all the time.

and then a team sees tmac playing well and offers a good trade. if the rockets bite on the trade, how would that affect the team afterwards? it'll probably ruin the offensive sets and rotation. and then you have to work in the new players into your sets. it'll probably mess up everything and it'll cost adelman his job.

so right now, RA's looking out for himself. he doesnt want to play tmac because it could affect the team later on if he got traded. so it's best to keep him out until there's a trade. unfortunately, no one's biting unless they see tmac play. nice catch22 you got yourself into RA.

not to mention, DM sucks at handling people. he's good at picking out talent, but handling situations is different. has everybody forgot how he handled mutombo's contract last year? they didnt sign him until it was middle of the season just because they wanted to hold out for a younger C and probably. not to mention they didnt want to give him a reasonable contract. just imagine if they signed him earlier and let him play more mins and reduced yao's. yao probably could have played til the WCF if not the finals if deke played earlier. and deke could have handled the locker room issues that started during the season. then there was landry's contract too. not to mention the JVG firing and steve francis .

I don't get where the whole bad teammate thing is coming from. The disrespect to the organization is there and obvious, but as far as I can tell he has been a rather good teammate.

Kudos Rick Adelman. I respect him more everyday. IMO he wasn't joking he was serious. He no longer wants Tracy to bring this team down. Thank you Rick.

Unlike the ******* he is talking about...coach A is more of an asset to the Rockets.

If i was RA maybe i would play t-mac, but i'd prefer to wait until next Tuesday...i mean i'd prefer to
let t-mac play next tuesday, but since ariza is probably out for this game, maybe i'd play t-mac tomorrow..

Yeah, I think this is on the money. He's not joking about trading Tracy. He says we're looking at lots of things. Tracy situation is what its been.

Then to point out how silly it is to bring up random possibilities like that, he says "A trade is a possibility."

I think everyone agrees he was being sarcastic right? So the question is was he being sarcastic about Tracy or about the random possibility that people have been bringing up that the Trevor thing is suddenly going to lead to them changing their minds on the plan for TMac?

I think it's clear from the exchange that it was the latter and he's pointing out that just like it's POSSIBLE that a team would trade them a single player for a single game, it's POSSIBLE they could suddenly change their minds about everything they've decided about TMac for the past 9 months and decide to play him right away.

Neither thing is obviously likely at all.
