i'm not gonna lie, RA's growin on me, because there was a point earlier in the season where i was like, "we should just kept Van Gundy" but he's changed my mind, i like to see t-mac settin picks and rolling and stuff
Your poster has alot of reasonable merit to it, unlike some of other that say Adelman is an all around terrible coach, who can't coach offense or defense. His teams usually rank in top 25% to 30% of the league. Most people say that he is all offense coach, like Nelson and D'Antoni. Because his teams are usually rank high in offense, but little or much lower defense, couldn't be further from the truth. THe Trailblazers were the best team defensively in West for almost five years. The only other teams the league that ranked at ahead of them were the Pistons, Knicks, and Bulls, mostly EC teams. He was actually the coach that put the defense in Sacramento, he was the one who improved the defense from year to year. It just didn't happen over night.
Rockets were 22nd in offensive rebounding last year; this year they're 6th. So they're almost the same defensively, while still crashing the offensive boards instead of sending everyone back on defense when a shot goes up.
Damn, adelman is so good. kudos to him for allowing Sonics -- one of the top team in NBA to shoot only 50% from the floor!
