Play some teams that are as mediocre as you are and all of sudden you get declared a genius.....

A staunch Van Gundy supporter basically saying “what’s the big deal about beating a couple of mediocre teams?”

    The irony.

At least we are defeating the teams we are suppose to beat, but seriously we really need to prove we can be consistent.

I think SamFisher is busy starting an "After 29 games, what is a Mike James hater to do" thread...or spending his time explaining to people how Rick Adelman did not have his team running a potent offense as coach of the Portland Trailblazers last season...

It's hard to consider it courage, when both Francis and James have played below average to horrible most of the season. Give credit to Brooks for making the most of his opportunity, but realistically if he was playing this good in practice and training camp all year he wouldn't have been on the bench this long. It isn't like Steve Nash is playing in front of him.

At this stage I am giving Adelman zero credit. He has hardly inspired me with his promise of a 'rose'y Rocket future. Neither has he inspired the fan base en masse nor the troops for whom he is responsible.

mj and Stevie (alas and alack - poor, poor Stevie) are flat out flatlining leaving Brooks, de facto, next in line to give it a shot. Credit AB for taking RA's opportunity, but don't credit RA until the man has actually earned some credit.

(BTW - 'tis a shame you didn't receive any caps for Christmas...)

I don't believe he was declared a genius, but rather a risk taker.

He also played Landry heavy minutes at Toronto in a close game; hardly a "desperation" move.

.....if he puts Mike James and Steve Francis on the IR list and activates Steve Novak and Carl Landry. That would be a interesting move.

You did miss me, because I never really offered much of an opinion on Brooks one way or the other. The mention of your greek boy toy and your goofy revisionism was what I was talking about.

But I am happy that your fetish of the moment is workig out. Actually wait, no I'm not, aside from being happy that for the rockets of course, because it will spawn more declarations and boasting and blah blah blah crap from you. I can't wait to see who you fixate on this summer. Greg Paulus is the 2-1 favorite according to Vegas odds.

LOL, you really want to compare records between this year's current lottery team and last season's team? I don't have to run the numbers to know that this year's sub .500 team is pretty much inferior vs. everybody, despite having better talent and an allegedly better coach - who has managed a worse performance thus far.

MEH, you are not a Rockets fan, you are just a fan of arguing.

And you have always taken the cowardly way out and not put forth an opinion, you just like to bash.......internet tough guy/troll, we know your type.

Against good teams (top 10 teams in net points-- points scored minus points allowed) the Rockets last season won 44% of these games.

This year's Rockets won 40% of their games against good teams.

So last year's Rockets were slightly better than this years against good teams.

What's more interesting is that last year's Rockets won 68% of their games vs. average teams. This year's Rockets won only 29% against average teams.

This year's Rockets, however, won 83% of games against bad teams, slightly better than the 78% win % last year's Rockets had against bad teams.

You bring it all upon yourself by starting various "pay attention to me" type-threads and boasting about what a genius you are and then whine like a b**** whever anybody discusses things with you for real.

All I know is that you just declared the Rockets season as having been turned around on the strenght of a one win over a mediocre memphis team, based on the same shallow, self-defeating reasoning we often hear from you ("Bonzi will become our third scorer! He just kind of will! even though he has been with he the team for over year and hasn't and I've pronounced him as garbage seven times!) And of course Bonzi is now 3-14 in a tight game against another team the Rockets should, had we been forecasting in the preseason, be blowing out of the gym...and are not.

I am angry at the Rockets frustrating season. You are trying to save face because all of your bitcing and moaning about Adelman and Van Gundy looks dumb now.

Let me give you a hint - nobody cares about your BBS face, and it is impossible for you to save it at this point. So just shut up, or else don't shut up and keep posting, but at least quit whining whenver anybody laughs at you.

Maybe SF3 can round in shape and be back into the rotation.

Addelman has no clue, Rockets need to change coach.

I like posting about the Rockets and discussing with other passionate fans what the team can do or should do.

And, PSSSSSST...that is what a BBS is for....

LOL - to you maybe but to anyone who understands the game of basketball it doesn't. JVG was NOT good enough to get it done, he failed, deal with losing your man spin love.

    HE IS GONE FOREVER.....

As for Adelman the jury is still out on him, but I am willing to give him a chance, the fact that you are bailing on him after only 30 games is what is laughable, typical...but laughable.

Let me give you a hint, being a passionate fan means you can talk about various things concerning the team. Have some good discourse without resorting to childish junior high style of name calling...ala Sam "Classless" Fisher.

The difference between me and you is that you try hard to make others look bad, that is your MO, just a troll....everywhere you go...and people know the part you are playing.....(Forgive me David Lee Roth).

Bottom line Sam, you are just a Debbie Downer.

lighten up, we are winning. I love JVG, but when was the last time we won two in a row against two healthy teams without Tmac under JVG. We just couldnt beat anybody without Tmac. Now, personnel-wise, this roation is slightly better, but the core are still the same, we blew out Memphis yesterday and led most of the way against a pretty good Toronto team that just beat the Spurs. I am liking this dream right now.
