    Pat Riley, the one who leaded his team into the worst record in the whole league, replaced SVG as coach when SVG trained out a good team and quitted coaching when he made the team collapsed? It was a shame to list him with others now matter how good is his previous record.

    It says a lot when Les uses his first anti-Tracy comments EVER when explaining reasons why he wants Rick to be his coach.

    Les really hasn't said anything remotely off from Tracy is my superstar and he will be a Rocket until this article.

    Not Tracy bashing, just stating.

    Now that Rockets has secured the front office and coaching staffs, we can only hope that Rockets will get the players they need to win a championship.

    One of the best coaches in the NBA and in rockets history. probably right next to Rudy Tomajanovich. anyone else with me on that?

    Almost as good news as the win.

    To borrow one from tinman: Rick the Ruler, FTW!!!

    I hope he accepts now that the McGrady saga is nearing its ugly conclusion.

    I almost wonder if Adelman was holding out given the timing of this news. I didn't read the article yet. Maybe it's explained in there. I know it was initially management that was hesitant. Maybe they were waiting for the McGrady situation to be resolved. They probably knew Adelman and McGrady couldn't co-exist so they wanted to figured out where we were going with McGrady first.

    They chose Adelman in the end. I like it.

    Obviously I love Rudy Tomjanovich. I also thought that JVG was a great coach (even though he coached the most boring to watch basketball I've ever seen).
    But I really feel like Adelman might be the best coach the Rockets have ever had. I just can't imagine any of the other coaches we've had coaching a team like our current one to a record this great.

    No guy more deserving than Coach Adelman for an extension. Tremendous job he's doing.

    I didn't like letting JVG go, but Adelman has done a pretty good job. There has been some questionable decsions, particulary in his handling of Yao's minutes and his spacing on the floor, but he deserves the extension.
