Skip is not Steve Nash, but I wouldn't knock his basketball IQ. It's THE ONLY THING Skip has going for him.

If we could just take the athleticism/scoring of Steve and put it together with the decision making of Rafer. I've got our point guard solution:
    Steafer Franston!

actually i didn't think head choked, he should have never had the ball in his hands in the first place on that one drive. head is the last person on the court who should be trying to create his own shot. that one was on tmac not demanding the ball!

It's not praying that he fails as much as it is just facing reality and realizing that he's washed up and is a cancer whom his last two teams didn't want and portland paid him 30 mill just to go away. Francis playing any significant minutes on this team means the rockets do worse. I'll say it again, but that was the worst off season move this summer and is the only blemish on morey so far.

you only like the rockets b/c of steve-o?

i never wanted the guy here, especially after the mike james trade, but even im surprised he isnt in the rotation. i figured he would get 15-20 minutes a game or so. it just goes to show that you have to earn your spot - steve-o came in with this sense of entitlement, like his starting job was just being kept warm for him over the last 3 years. didnt he say something to the effect of "i better be starting" on the jim rome show a couple months ago? the guy is stubborn - he keeps saying he is going to play the way he plays - he refuses to adjust to a team game. he said the same thing when he played for jvg - "coach is going to coach the way he coaches and im going to play the way i play" - 10 years in and the knucklehead still doesnt get it.

i said it when we signed him and ill say it again - he is a horrible fit for this team - he doesnt have any of the skills necessary to play in an adleman offense.

and i just dont get why so many are so enamored with him. seems like many are still clinging to this false reality of what he could have been, but never quite became. let it go - this steve-o obsession isnt healthy!

on the flip side, there seem to be many here who want to see steve-o play even if it is not in the best interests of the rockets. k1v170 said that he is canceling his plan to go to the game b/c steve-o isnt going to play. most of us dont put an individual player before the team.

most of us actually want whats best for the team, not whats best for steve-o.

If signing a veteran NBA guard for peanuts is his worst move, then that's saying great things about Morey. Francis won't play significant minutes unless someone gets hurt, and even then, they won't necessarily do worse. He may not shoot as well as MJ, but he does bring something to the table.

I hear your sweet song brother. Could not have sung it any better.

Clips need him until Brand gets back, Sac could use him, even Miami.

    We don't need him.

Thanks for building that Toyota center for us Stevie.... BYE!

Yeah, it is not Steve hate to say he is: not the player he once was, not a good fit, and not a good signing (which is what I believed all summer).

I really appreciate the passion he brought to the floor during his time here, and I appreciated his talents. I also used to pull my hair out over the turnovers.

So in the end, I don't have anything but good will for him. Him signing here, and being signed, was just a weird decision from both sides. Him showing up out of shape is the weirdest decision of all, unless his knees were so bad that he couldn't work out properly. I just don't get that part at all.

why is he not in lineup?

according to ra, he is not in shape. other than that, everything is added by fans. like his play style, his selfishness, and so on.

whether his play style fits ra system, ra knows better than anyone here. just stop spreading the rumor that sf doesn't fit the new system all over the world.

This is probably more about Steve showing up out of shape, and being slower to pick up the offense than the rest of the team. He's going to get on the floor whether its due to match-ups or injuries he just needs to slim down and be patient. He'll come around.

What I don't really care for is the fact that he obviously thought he was penciled in before Rafer in the depth chart and it seems to me like he came into camp with a sense of entitlement.

I don't think so. There are a lot of teams that can use his skillset. He's still one of the more explosive PG in the game. I'm disappointed for him too but he's got to take this as motivation and continue to learn the system and improve on his BB IQ - that is if he wants to play for Adelman and the Rockets. Don't give up Stevie!!

I can remember all of those times that Kenny Smith choked so much when he played for the Rockets.

I hope Stevie will go over the hump. Just seen him play against the Grizz on the first game, he just can't close it out. Hope things progress with Steve. Good luck body!!

steve was never the least bit clutch. if he comes up on the depth chart i believe it will be in another city.

i really do like steve but he lost out to a younger, healthier, better fit.

the rockets wil do right by him and let him move on to a team that has a spot in the rotation for him.
