I liked SF3, but I am disappointed now. There are reasons that Orlando, New York, didn't want to keep him. Will Rockets be the last opportunity for him to play in NBA?

maybe the T in practice had something to do with it... Adelman's trying to send a message to tell SF3 to act professional.

Anyway Alston James Bonzi Head T-mac and who as perimeter player again? Adelman said 6... maybe im just blanking on a key guy.

Wow what an immature b****!

He will be in the rotation as soon as Adleman realizes Rafer can't shoot to save his life.

No they're not. They're focused on all the things he could do, i.e. pass, drive, hit a cutter, run a play, etc. And he just doesn't make his decisions quick enough. You see a lot of hesitation in Steve's body language when you watch him play in this offense. It's why he gets a lot of turnovers. By the time he finally makes his decision and acts, his opponent is already anticipating it. My uncle, who has coached basketball for upwards of 40 years, showed me this about Steve after his first year with us. Looks like it still holds true today.

i feel for him but im sure he'll start to get his minutes later on during the season or atleast i hope he does.

"play the way I've always played"...if he can get rid of the TOs...then PT will come

I'll just repeat what I posted in the other thread. I just wish Francis would admit he's out of shape and shouldn't be in the rotation until he is.

funny, everyone pick what sf said but no one paid tiny attention on what ra said.

ra said he thought when heading to the training camp sf was his starter. let's just guess why ra thought in this way. because sf was his buddy? because sf changed way he played?

i don't believe ra didn't know who sf is and what his style is. if this is true, ra is not afraid of his style and the way he plays in his system so what hell all rox fans is complaining about sf's play style

only thing i am thinking about why sf is not in the rotation is he is not in good shape just like bonzi of last year. ;)

    These sounds familiar:
Didn't he said that before being traded for McGrady? Cool, Steve Francis did not change a bit since he left. He kept being Steve Francis!

Disappointed in his comments...first off, he needs to get his ass in shape. And dammit, he needs to learn to adapt to new situations...his freaking style isnt good for this team.

I haven't seen Steve on T.V. since he came back, is he baby Chuck? Or is it the skills that have diminshed...? i.e. knees, speed...

I'd rather it be to lack of condition, because that can change, the other can't...

Well, this just proves that RA would have used him. Francis could have had the starting job but lost it in training camp/preseason. Also, Steve's comments seem positive to me. Doesn't sound like pouting or creating trouble. The whole "I'm going to play the way I always played" is being taken out of context, especially being in text and not seeing the entire interview. He didn't say he was not going to change. But meant he was going to go out and leave it all on the court like he did for us in the past.

Just trying to put a positive spin since everyone is Houston likes being negative.

ROX, you show download some of R2K's highlights of the games, or better yet, the games, and skim through for Francis on the court. Francis is out of shape, big time. His arms look small, for him, he's at least a step slow, he looks chubby (nothing like Sir Charles or Bonzi last season, but chubby from being out of shape), his lateral movement is mediocre. Yada, yada, yada.

It's hard to believe he came to camp so out of condition. Francis says he thought he'd be able to "play my way into shape." NOT very smart.

it's NOT written in stone. if steve keeps working hard, he'll be in the rotation as we go down the stretch.

Guys, he is a proud man, when he says he will continue to play his game, I think he means he will continue to work and get in better shape.

He will get a chance this year....

    so our 6 man is:

    james
    alston
    tmac
    battier
    bonzi
    head?

that's weird that head has a spot ahead of him. I think francis showed more heart than head in the preseason (glorious pun hahaha) and deserves to part of our rotation. yeah he didn't really seem to have a grip on the offense, but that 6th spot is his for the taking.

Well, at least Adelman understands that the 2007 version of Steve Francis is nothing like the 2002 version, unlike a lot of posters here. Steve's skills have diminished, that's why there weren't 30 teams lined up to sign him this offseason.

The good thing is, at least we have enough good players to where guys actually have to EARN their playing time.
