    "it is literally impossible."

    You're literally impossible.

    Look...

I may not have read all of the rules, but I know for a fact that there are trades made in the NBA all the time.

Like I said...will it happen in time for tonights game?

I don't think any of us really know the answer to that with 100 percent certainty.

What I do know with complete certainty though is that there is going to be a BASKETBALL game tonight and I plan to watch it as soon as I finish my pilates class and have a nice meal. I just hope it doesn't go into any extra frames because these late west coast starts can keep a person awake at night!

    Go Rockets!

hmmm... Francis can't make the rotation?

i guess that means that AB can't either, or did Stevie lose out to him too?

    so we have:

    Alston/James/Head
    T-Mac/James/Bonzi/Head
    Battier/Bonzi/T-Mac
    Hayes/Scola/Battier
    Yao/Scola/Deke/Hayes

looks like 9-10 man rotation, one better than JVG's 8 1/2 man rotation.
Francis and Snyder are 11th and 12th men (garbage time?)
AB/Novak/Landry are inactive; Deke only plays some games.

Okay, Hank, with that pilates crack, I'm now convinced that this is a clever joke, and I'm upset that I was dumb enough to take the bait and think you were serious about all this. Kudos to you for your little ruse, my friend.

And THAT is something we can all agree on.

The best results from this :

1)Francis figures out he is only role player in this team clearly. NO mor ego matteronce he gets into rotation the middle season.
    2) Fracis gets into good shape, takes over Alston's start job.

    The worst result from this:
Francis is trade to another team.

Its' so painful to see ALston throw a ulgy float it's enoug for last year.

after watching the first quarter, does it look like anyone's fully adjusted to the new system yet? francis should at least be given a chance.

Perhaps if Francis would act his age, rather than laying on the bench and pouting like a six year-old, he would get some playing time.

NOTHING he can do? How about:

    1. Get in shape
    2. Learn the system
    3. Support your team
    4. Excel when/if you get on the floor

What a spoiled athlete. You'd think the bumping around he'd done the last few years would have humbled his opinion of himself and whetted his appetite for showing folks what he is capable of... I thought that that is what RETURNING to Houston was all about...

Too true. I'm no Spurs fans, but look at what Tim Duncan has done with that team. Do you think he shows up to camp significantly overweight? Does he cheer, even when he's on the bench? Heck, he even took an $11 million paycut to keep his team competitive. This kind of selfless veteran leadership is what Steve never mastered, and it's what keeps him from being a winner.

Being the best requires a TON of hard work, and right now, SF3 ain't getting the job done.

Francis is the new VSpan. Signs for about 2 M and is a debbie downer on the bench.

I thought so too. If ever there was a second chance on one's career it's coming back to the team you made your name with.

I expect this situation to be handled professionally by both sides, but I'm pretty sure that steve will want out if he isn't going to play at all.

not sure what the rockets can get in return for him either. no picks, (he's too old), no talent (he's making too little), just a 4/5 insurance guy i guess.

Yep, the name "Stee-Fran" is now unavoidable.
