I generally like Pallilo even though I don't listen to him often. Typically on the drive home I'm more in the mood for music. But you are right, he repeats himself often. I also hate the way he cuts in on callers, assuming he knows what they are going to say or ask, and basically tries to refute them or complete their thought first. And I absolutely can't stand listening to him do interviews. It seems he has a competition with himself to see how long and convoluted a question he can ask. Sometimes to the point that the person being interviewed loses track of what he is even trying to ask by the time he actually gets to the question mark. His weekly time with Brian Cushing was HORRIBLE. I wish they would move that to another host. The only regular interview he does that is any good is Matt Bullard, but that's just because Matt is such an awesome interview with anyone. It's got nothing to do with Charlie.
That is dead on. Great with Bullard. Terrible with everyone else. He'd have some cute questions for McHale planned from time to time but that was hit or miss.
I actually think he's the best interviewer out there... in terms of the quality of questions he asks and the research/prep he does ahead of time. Some of those weekly interviews can be challenging... simply because sometimes there's just nothing to talk about. As far as Cushing goes, he's just not that great on radio as is... his sessions with McHale, Bullard, JB, or anybody else he has on go much better because the person being interviewed is much better.

Confirmed. Again, probably one of the few who actually liked Wright and the way he kept the show moving. It appears others thought so too though, as this has to be seen as a move up. http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Radio-host-Nick-Wright-leaving-Houston-for-job-7212608.php
Wait, wait, wait... did we all just blow by this Matt Maloney/cocaine story without so much as a whisper? Torn n Frayed... elaborate? Please?
I used to hate Nick Wright but he grew on me. I still didn't like his tandem with John Lopez, but that was entirely because of Lopez. That show became pretty good once they incorporated Robert Hensley and Jim Mudd (spelling on both?) in more and it wasn't dominated by Lopez. Nick Wright could be a little too "hot take!" for me, but he was good at the rest of it. Good for him because it seems like he might be a genuinely good dude unlike the last 610 host to "move up" in the world.
He'll always be the guy who CBS saw was good enough to kick Innes out, and for that I am grateful. It made 610 a good alternative when I don't wanna listen to Clanton.
Thanks Blake. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's curious. Torn n Frayed, does the word "PALE" mean anything to this story? I'm trying to be as vague as possible, but I might know some of the principles of this story.

did that have to do with the watt stalking? shame, all stations should have banned that dork. I miss the Russell Baxters.
Yeah, hearing BTS go on and on about Pearl Scam was GREAT radio! Give me Mr. Bonkers resets and Snacks on the iPhone breaking down of NBA action any day!!
Florio had a meltdown about how Watt's social media presence is just a farce. I think pretty much every radio personality in Houston called him out for being a hypocrite, and he got butthurt.
