The ad should express concern, but also do a better job of welcoming Shane Battier.

Lots of people in Memphis are pretty upset about the trade. We got a hell of a character and a guy that's going to help us ASAP. If T-Mac wants him, then I want him.

He's not going to jump over people Rudy Gay-style, but I have a feeling a lot of you paying for this ad are going to end up loving Shane Battier.

Rasselas, you remind me of the whiny Alec Baldwin or Barbara Streisand after Bush won his second term. ha!

Dude, this is a sport, not an uprising against a communist dictatorship! The Rox are a privately owned organization. Your vote doesn't count. If you don't agree, just don't buy a ticket or buy their gear.

You kinda remind me of the pill-popping Rush Limbaugh babbling on after Bush stole his second election.

Go back to lurking or to the D&D. Pick one and do us all a favor.

you nailed it. you don't take an attacking stance but you nail the disappointment perfectly.

I would be glad to contribute toward gucci888's piece. I think that he should name the 'current player' he is refering to (my only suggestion).

    So, how do we contribute?

Note: I also liked the original, but gucci's is more concise and straight from the heart.

I'm fine using gucci's piece. Again, no ego attached to this. Just happy to throw some ideas out there. And even though it will probably never be seen by anyone else, having written something, I do feel a bit bettter.

Kudos for starting the thread! How do we make this happen? I'll go with either one depending on the consensus here.

Sorry if my post threw you into a tizzy! You know, no one is stopping you from doing your own ad.

Perhaps you might post in a thread where you could make a more positive contribution?

I don't think this can take off unless Clutch, Jeff or Dr of Dunk can collect the money.

Why an ad in the Chronicle?
Les Alexander only reads the New York Times.

Where's the ad for hiring back CALVIN MURPHY. Last I remember, he has a banner up in the rafters next Hakeem and Rudy.

You know thats why we sucked last year. the hex that Les put on the entire organization for disrepecting a hero.

What the time machine, so you guys can put ads in the Houston Post about drafting Robert Horry?

What about ad for the Oilers in Buffalo?

What about the ad for Santa Anta and Davie Crocket?
