Or for telling the truth and not letting somebody live in ignorance. But nope, that's just negativity
Harden will wave off the screen and call iso for himself. And Mike Anthony will be too soft to do anything about it.
So we need the following: Amar'e - Athletic freak of nature Matrix - Mr. Do it all Nash - Superstar playmaker Barbosa - playmaker off the bench who can shoot Boris Diaw - Stretch 4/ Playmaker Raja Bell - 3 and D Q Rich - 3pt specialist we have the following: Trevor Ariza - 3 and D-esque T Jones/DMo -stretch 4/playmaker-esque Harden - Superstar playmaker-esque Capela/Harrell - Athletic freak of nature-esque lite. we got some work to do this off season.
So you plan relies at least in part on Clint Capella hitting 18 foot jumpers? The same Clint Capella that can't make 50% of his free throws?
I like the fact you have Jones here, he deserves more time, when he is healthy the kid contributes. Beasley needs a spot in here somewhere as well.
I would love it if the team improved. I wasn't worried that much about their offense in the first place, but their defense. Any improvement would be good. Maybe any coach that can be seen as a stable coach will have a good effect on the team. I have a strong dislike of D'Antoni. But if he makes the team better, then great.
And how would JVG or Vogel or whatever your choice of coach fixed it? Regardless of what coach we hire, we still aren't as talented as the top tier teams.
Well at least we are already closer to the Suns than the Knicks and Lakers. However, the MDA pick is not simply about offense and Harden, but PNR and Harden. Harden and Nash are both excellent PNR players. You left out Beasley on your list who would probably be more of the Amare role on offense.
Im not passing any judgements until I see what players he has to work with and he has a training camp to implement his system. I dont care about Phoenix, LA, NY, or his Philly stay. We still have to see who the assistants are. That could make a big difference in terms of how the team will play defensively. He is a vet coach that has had success in the league, that has to count for something. He has coached on the USA team, that exp should count for something. So i'm willing to give it some time to come together and see what we have before I say it failed or not. He knows what mistakes he made in the past and this is his last chance to be a success. So Lets see. A lot of people complained about the lack of system or playcalling with McHale and JB, MDA is a much better offensive mind than they are. Just have to get the right players in there to run the system effectively. I'm sure Morey and Les know that.
