Mike Myers should probably be in there as well, but maybe not. He's not as much a shtick actor as these are.

It's all about which style doesn't annoy you. Ben Stiller is the one I can't handle much of. Sandler is fine, but can be dull at times. Ferrell's hilarious, but I can completely see why other people would get sick of his stuff.

Ferrell co-writes his best movies, and notice how his characters are jerks. He isn't begging to be seen as a nice humble small-city upstart just tryin'a make it in-this-crazy-world-why-can't-people-be-nicer-to-him like all of Sandler's characters more or less. He gets involved in the writing process whether he's credited or not. I bet he goes to the writer's house punches them around until they make his character endearing enough

I vote Sandler, and its not even close. I like Ferrell, but its the same routine over and over. Not a fan of Stiller at all.

    Best COMIC actor?

I would have to say Ferrel, even though I don't think he's played a big part in very many good movies.

Sandler is alright, and the best actor out of the 3 imo.

Stiller is just a tool and not funny. Other than maybe zoolander, I don't think he's brought anything to the table that someone else couldn't have done better.

I would watch Old School, Anchorman, and Zoolander over Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore any day of the week.

Glad to hear someone feels the same way. Ferrell is just plain awesome and he can always crack me. Stiller is likable and funny even if he's made a few duds. Sandler's popularity will never make sense to me, I've never found him funny, only found Happy Gilmore mildly amusing aside from that think most of his comedies are crap

    GRENDAL,

We seem to be kindred spirits when it comes to the topics of movies and actors. Personally, I would rather be entertained by Carrot Top than Adam Sandler and that is really going down to the bottom of the barrel.

I know exactly what you mean, it always irks me whenever one of his flicks pulls in a ton of money. Only movie I can say I enjoyed him in was Punch Drunk Love, he was fairly good in that but it wasn't his usual crap movie either

    First to worst:
    Ferrell
    Stiller
    Sandler

Ferrell is more consistent than Stiller and he's put out much better stuff in recent years. I never liked any Sandler movies much, just not my style.

Anyone a fan of the Ben Stiller show? Such a shame it got canceled.

Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell always seem to play the same kind of roles to me.

    No stretch.

Stiller has played a few different roles and is great when he dresses as different characters in wardrobe (Anchorman, Starsky & Hutch, Dodgeball, Zoolander)

I'm a huge fan of that show. It's why I voted for Stiller over the others. If we're restricting this to their movies, then I'd go with Ferrell.

But The Ben Stiller Show was brilliant. It's not a coincidence that everyone who worked on that series(including Judd Apatow and David Cross behind the camera) went on to have great success.

I voted for Ferrel. I would have voted Sandler if they didn't puss out in Click and make the whole thing a dream basically (took away all of the consequences). I might go with someone not on the list though, like a Seth Rogan, Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn or Bruce Campbell.

    They are all one dimensional.

At least Carey and Williams try to branch out, even if they are burnt out of fresh material.

    I started to add Vaughn
but I know those three seem to have more comic movies under their belt
where they were the lead horse
Vaughn seems like a GREAT SUPPORTING ACTOR

    Bruce Campbell is Bruce Campbell

Not sure who the other two are

Sandler's movies make an *ss load of money
only one that I can watch over and over is The WaterBoy

Stiller has some good movies. . .Meet the Parents but UI might have to say that is more Deniro than Stiller [Deniro is a VERY UNDERRATED *COMIC* ACTOR . . MIDNIGHT RUN IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME . . . . Even Showtime with Eddie Murphy was funny as fell ]

Ferrel usually plays an awkwark unusual weird guy
it is usually a funny weird guy . . but weird none the less

Ferrel and Sandler seem to play guys who might have slight r****dation or some thing

    So . . . I dunno who to pick
