Sixers and Nets were willing to go over the tax, that is the biggest difference.

And Sixers and Nets built through draft AND FA.

In fact, the Nets would still be spinning their wheels at bottom of the East IF they kept all their picks and young talent, they are where they are right now because of trading for better vet players.

You are actually stating my point for me.

No, I am not making your point for you, and this has nothing to do with the tax.

Your point was that no free agents would sign here with a toxic culture, nor would rookies stay.

Philly and Brooklyn have proved that to not be true.

Nets had to fire coach and change ownership, that is a completely different culture than under previous ownership and coach.

76ers also fired their coach and added Morey to oversee GM and entire FO.

Are you not seeing how these changes turned a toxic culture to a winning one?

Willingness to spend to acquire assets, especially THE best assets, on the court, on the bench and in FO is a NEON light signaling a culture improvement and team's willingness to commit to championships.

Not sure how you are not getting this.

You are just fishing at this point.

Our culture right now is irrelevant. Literally nobody on this team is apart of the future, except MAYBE KPJ and Tate. It just doesn't matter.

If you can’t sign him, damn, why bother with Gordon?! That would be a bad move. Really bad. Having said that, I think he’d be a great addition otherwise and would love to have him.

Same here, my worry here though is Danny Ainge. He may be raising the price for the Rockets to get Gordon on PURPOSE.

Gotta disagree with you. This regime landed Christian Wood, they aren’t letting him go, and it feels more like the organization doesn’t have the patience to bottom out for years. Like it or, in your case, not.

Christian Wood is a part of the future and we need to surround him with talent before he decides to leave

Tate is same age as Wood and same length of contract.

AG shooting 50% from 3 and averaging 20 PPG since returning from injury.

39% from 3P for the season.

Reconsidering his trade request because realization dawning on him that point forward really suits him.

I know you are a big fan of his and I think he can provide a lot too. But if you were Stone...why would you pull the trigger to get him? Do you think Wood, Wall, A Gordon can be the core of a strong playoff team? And brining him in right now, could really hurt our chances of getting our top 4 pick.

Wall is part of no core I want.

But nothing is stopping the tank.

And the better question you should ask is why is Stone so hungry for AG.

I have nothing to do with the trade, I only push for players that fit our systems on offense and defense.

Maybe Stone sees same thing I do.

I believe Stone is trying to accumulate as many of these type of players for his rebuild.

Uber athletes that attack rim downhill, switch 1-5, rebound, protect rim and run baseline to baseline like demons.

Wood, Tate, KJ, BT and Porter fit this profile.

Shoot 3ball is good too. LOL

This is why I laughed every time a poster used Magic stats to argue for not trading for AG.

Orlando system is a shetshow. Spacing is pure crap.
