We have more then enough bigs right now.

So far we know Motiejunas has a developing Post game and the last few games shows Aldrich has some raw offensive touch as well but I am hoping the rest of the coaches are working to develop these guys and Asik. Personally, I have no faith in Patterson developing into a consistent scorer especially in the post (he is in love with his jumper) and I worry that Morris maybe the same but the rest should be coached on that type of play because we lack it right now.

agreed ......Cutting Livingston was a BIG mistake..........
Us fans have been use to a back-up Pg producing for us throughout the years....
(ex.Rafer-Brooks,Brooks-Lowry,Lowry-Dragic) so this is not the norm and is something that should be addressed but not really discussed.

I agree somewhat except I think Patterson and Morris are competing for playing time now. McHale and pretty much every other NBA coach does not make rash decisions. Those guys earned their playing time and it will take a lot for Jones to get some from them. No reason to think DMo and White are close to taking time from them anytime soon.

The Rockets have been competitive in each game so far. I expect to see Jones in the first blow out.

great post. i agree with you. We do have a liability at SF. I can live with Asik if we can improve our scoring at the 4 and the 3. I don't see us contending this year, so i'd rather have playing time for our youth to develop than bring in another big. What i'm hoping for is that we are able to take on a large expiring contract and get a pick out of it, then use several of our assets to trade for another franchise piece in the offseason.

The only reason why i'm okay with Jones and D-mo on the bench early this season is because with every game Pat and Morris are improving their trade value.

The perfect fit for the Rockets is someone secretly on the block. LaMarcus Aldridge. He can play outside to spread the floor for Harden and Lin and complements Asik very well. It would probably take some combination of players like Patterson, Cook, Aldrich, the 3 rookies, and a few draft picks.

I could also see him ending up in Cleveland to play alongside Kyrie Irving.

IF you heard Morey on PTI, we are not going to settle and waste our cap space to fill a short term need. It has to be the right player at the right price.

I say we can trade 2Pat & Morris for a Decent PF and Decent PG who can play on both ends and then let our Rookies start at PF and build them. Jones looks really good, and he has potential to become really good in couple years. we should take that gamble and give it a shot.

We do not need another PF right now, we need bench HELP!

Tony Douglas is killing the 2nd unit. The 2nd unit seems flat, they need a scoring punch. I would try Machado to get the offense moving, get some easy buckets!

We can't make a big trade every week!!!

None of the above!! We are a young, developing team, let them develop. We are no where close to being a title contender. Paying big bucks to the your top 3 choices makes us a playoff team, not a title contender and also takes away some of our youngsters, draft picks and cap space. If we cant get a Cousins or Love, but feel the need to make a move, go for a Favors or Kanter, someone with upside that could be that 2nd star.
