There are many kinds of heroes-- not just military or public service or jocks (ha-ha)....

Anyone who builds themself an empire through hard work and sacrifice has done something heroic.... and doing so in the face of the kind of hostility displayed here makes it even truer for them. They overcome more obstacles than apathy.

I don't even know the guy. In my book, he gets far more credit for trying than all you cynics put together.

Aren't most of these people just lazy twits who never bothered to finish school?

And you compare them to War Veterans?

    for what?

He has intentionally misled dozens of people and tried to misrepresent his business in order to convince people to join ACN. He has played around with people's livelihoods.

Do you see the 2% success-rate? Do you think Chris Howard goes up to all of his potential recruits and says that only 2 out of 100 of you will be successful in it on average? No, he lies and misleads, he plays on people's desperation.

That's not heroic, that's shady. I suppose you also consider drug lords as heroes, after all, they had to put in a lot of hard work to build their empire. Also, human traffickers, they have endured so many obstacles.

What do you mean by compare? One can compare ugly girls and beautiful girls and the comparison is not very close. I simply said that there are many kinds of heroes-- not just the military, police, fire or the beloved jocks that I see guys here slobbering over. Being heroic does not require but certainly does include someone who sacrifices their life, like Victoria Soto in Newtown

I was in one of these a few years ago. My "upline" was composed of a City Manager, a Lawyer and a DVM. They all had graduate or professional degrees, so there goes your "knowledge" out the window.

Not sure what this 2% success rate is supposed to mean. How successful is that? Mega-successful?

Would you rather be in jail with an ACN rep, a human trafficker or a drug lord? Could you provide some more ridiculous analogies please!

If you are not going to respect the difference between legal and illegal there's not much point in talking about it.

Not sure what this 2% success rate is supposed to mean. How successful is that? Mega-successful? Lots of people could use just $300 or $500/month to make a real difference in their family budget. I would consider that successful.

If they "sacrificed their lives" to be better City Managers, Lawyers, or DVMs, then maybe they wouldn't need to badger people into joining their "networks".

Calling these people heroes next to Military, and then next to someone that just saved children.....well, that just makes you an assclown.

Being in jail with an ACN Rep has to be on a short list of most people's vision of Hell.

Again, I worked corporate for one for awhile. Saw how everything works from behind the scenes. I know more than you. There are no heroes. Not in MLM. Just people crying for attention and begging for money.

This reminds me of why those Nigerian email scams are so poorly written - it's because if anyone responds and engages them they are certainly easy $$$. :(

Best!?! Wait till I tell you my friend - I got an awesome opportunity with ocean front property in Arizona. Big money and profits from this deal - you can quit your job and follow your dreams - all from your own home! !!

Think you can handle being CEO, Thought Master, Director of Happiness and Awesomeness and fight women off left and right all while making it rain cash?? I BET YOU COULD!

This can be you my friend, I'm going to need some of your money of course to pay for expenses but literally you will never have to work again (unless you call getting rich quick and easy work!)

CAN YOU HANDLE THE CASH AND SUCCESS!?!?!

I saw the words "ocean front" and knew this was for me. Didn't have to read the rest.

You know more about one company. Which one? Do you really think all the thousands of MLM companies are identical?

The industry is the same across the board. Companies come and go, reps cycle from MLM to MLM (like the guy in this thread who's wife has been in 6), the industry conferences are all full of the same people (there's a big one right here in Houston), the training is the same, the propaganda is the same, it's all the same thing. All of it. The same.

Find me an MLM where the average income of all participants, former and active isn't a negative number. I'm sure you can but good luck. PS: they all fudge the numbers, keyword is former/inactive members. You know, the people that quit because it's pretty difficult selling fake products like "hopes and dreams" or products nobody wants like ****ty coffee or overpriced makeup. Your "heroes" are the people quirky enough to sell bags of **** to people without remorse or self awareness.

How much is an NBA courtside seat, again and then let's talk bargain shopping. I don't deny the mania you see, but that's not all there is to it. Like anything, there is good and bad but all you see is a sliver of the bad from experience with one company (right?) and you've extrapolated that conclusion to a whole industry with thousands of companies. I think a more even-handed treatment is called for.
