    Dude.

Did you not hear we got a new coach?

Did Russ or CP3 just sit in the corner all the time?

What I do know about gang bangers is that most of what they do is for "street cred" more than anything else. Mixing in high profile celebrities among their ranks is just publicity. They wont be asking Wall to go murk the next Opp that comes along.

Do I personally associate with gang members? No. Is it a good look? No. Is it a crime? No.

So maybe you could bring up this topic at your next bible study and see if there is any room for reclamation?

Apart from the video and James' friendships has either of these guys been implicated in any crimes? Wall was held in a 'breaking and entering' case in college, but apart from that hasnt shown any criminal pattern apart from his strip club obsession.

Eye of the beholder situation and while not a great PR look it shouldnt be a sole reason for judging someone either. You should read about Walls community outreach in DC and maybe it would soften this view you have for him.

He was the coach..... but I wonder how soul crushing it was for him to go down the isoball path...... His first year is when Harden avergaed 11.2 assists (career best).

    Because we asked him.....

I do. One is our franchise player and one is mercenary who played for us during a shortened season so my expectations are different.

    No clue what that means.

I'm a rockets fan, not a harden only fan. I think Harden was a better player for the team when he averaged 29 pts and 11.2 assists.

LOL bible study? reclamation? All because I think there is a risk to associating with violent criminal organizations?

Where in my posts have I mention either harden or wall committing crimes or for that matter of any opinions I have on their characters? And what sole reason for judging someone? You seem to be wanting to white knight bloods or some other gang - hey do you!

If you want your kids, employees, friends, etc to be publicly affiliated or representing these organizations - cool. I simply disagree and think it's not only a bad look, it's adding potential risks and harm, not only to one's image, livelihood but also safety.

You are insinuating that harmful associations are going to lead to problems arent you? Otherwise why would you bring up "gang ties" .. I think you would be pretty shocked to find out how many professional athletes have friends in low places.

I dont need sports athletes to be role models for me, my family or my business. Just to provide a good product for my entertainment.

So when you start off by disagreeing to possible crimes by either guy and then end your take with that very premise its kind of hard to understand what your gripe is.

How do you break the news to your loved ones when your fave sports players get popped for PEDs? Cheating? Same thing as this or nah?

It means that you will fault Harden for anything.

He did not help out WB or CP3, LOL.

Who the heck is only Harden fan?

This is why you are that guy?

Don't know what's confusing to you. My assertion, which have been clearly stated and not insinuated is simply. There is risk when associating or representing violent criminal organizations. Hence doing so is a negative in my view. You are free to disagree.

I dont disagree, you have a right to feel that way. I dont think it will be a distraction either. Its a fair concern and maybe someone will ask him about that video and we can get a more clear representation of the association from Wall himself.

No offense to anyone, but I see a bunch of suburban white kids throwing up gang signs and pretending to be someone they are not all the time - you think this could be one of those things?

Look at his performance before Covid. Do you think Wall can get us that? 30 ppg on 50% shooting?

Hyperbole is the mark of a poor argument.....

I listed two specific examples..... hardly "anything". Can you discuss those examples I gave?

Someone who can't accept criticism for Harden's game or his actions....

Wall apologized for it and claims to have made a mistake. He didn't clarify or expound on the incident and stated that he would do better. I don't know John wall or have any clue about his personal life, so I've no clue about motives etc.

The only problem with this incident is that it isn't an isolated one. Chances are it's nothing, but as an employer or company or friend, you have to be aware of the risks.

I don't care about raw numbers, they aren't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for fit on the team, I'm looking for flow in the offense.

If a player manages to score 30 points to the detriment of the team, he's nowhere near as good as a player who scores 15 in the flow of the offense.

If Wall is consistently hitting his catch and shoot 3's enough to make defenses respect it and is doing a decent job as a pure pass first PG, I'll be thrilled.

I don't expect or even want "superstar" John Wall, because "superstar" John Wall played a lot like Westbrook, I want "useful to the Rockets" and time will tell if he can be that. We knew for sure that Westbrook couldn't be that guy, so we lose nothing by giving this a shot.
