nice thread. and i agree 100%...forget all the trades. lets just get a center and go at the season with what we got. it's better than making stupid moves that we'll regret later....

    100% agree.

Tank and get a lotto pick.

Either trade or release T-mac, Cook, and Barry.

Let Taylor, Buddinger, Lowry, AB, and Landry get a ton of minutes.

Try to get Yao to opt out and sign for a smaller number.

Add the lotto pick to a decent FA/T-mac trade player. If you need to trade away Battier as well so be it. Let's say you get Bosh.

Your core: Yao, Bosh, Landry, AB, Lowry, Scola, Ariza, lotto pick (should be an athletic wing).

I am confident Yao will do a Duncan and take a discount to help the team.

Didn't your thread about the same topic just get locked? You don't take hints very well.

Amen...and again, if we are going to have a rebuilding year, let Tmac stay. Look, we are going to let a bunch of young guys develop for half a year. Let T-mac try and prove himself for that half year. he has to play good because if he wants a good deal, he has to show teams he is ready to play.

Also, summer of 2010 has way better talent then what is available right now. Wait it out, dont sign anybody who will ruin our chances of landing a star.

Agreed, and even before the Andersen deal, I was extremely excited/anxious to watch this team play. What I saw last year from guys like Brooks, Landry, Lowry, etc., makes me really look forward to see how these guys have developed and improved over the summer. I want to see them come together as a team again and enjoy some good basketball.

This is a great group of young players.

    Go Rockets!

No matter what, you get the feeling this team will be fun to watch next year. Kinda like Oklahoma City last year but with more wins, probably 44-48.

Minus the issue of a real big man, the team we have can make a splash. The style will be more like in the playoffs when Yao was out, except now we don't have Ron Ron trying to be a hero.

I'm excited to see this team out-move and out-hustle other teams.

This team is going to make the playoffs next year. Why? Even without Yao they are still much better than the phoenix suns because they'll play defense.

They also will all be on the same page all year next year without any drama happening until Mcgrady comes back. He'll be cool though when he comes back because its a contract year and it'll be "all on him" as he seems to do his best when he's the focal point.

With all the shots he'll get, Brooks is going to turn into a borderline all star (he won't make it, but it could be close for a backup) if he keeps progressing the way he has because thanks to the Lakers series he has the name cred.
