Hard work always pay off, and he is definitely the hardest worker in the NBA.

Strange that the list doesn't include any of those Greek guys A Kar/KillBillPana/BBallScientologist/etc. is always over-hyping. I guess that could be because THEY ALL SUCK.

Yep. He reminds me of '50s horror movie icon Rondo Hatton:

Scola did not make the actual official list of either the fans, nor the media for being one of the ten best players in Europe in the decade.

He did however make the top 50 list:

On the side of the page, under the heading "The Nominees"......

Here is Luis Scola's Euroleague Top 50 player of the decade bio:

So Luis Scola was a Top 50 player in Europe during the decade.

Probably because they never played in the Spanish League.

What they mean is foreign players (NON Spaniards) that played in the Spanish League (NOT the Euroleague). And the list has nothing to do with the NBA.

That's because every time a Rockets announcer claims Scola was "Euroleague MVP" they are lying. He was ACB MVP, not Euroleague MVP. 2 entirely different and separate leagues.

But Rockets announcers don't want to say ACB MVP because the league is much worse than the Euroleague, where Scola never won an MVP or a championship.

The ACB is the league where guys like Tigao Splitter, Rudy Fernandez, Ricky Rubio were considered to be stars. The Euroleague (which is a much higher level) is the league where they were not considered to be stars. NBA marketing purposely never explains that.

When you hear that Rudy Fernandez or Ricky Rubio are "Euroleague stars" they are actually referring to the much lower level ACB league. It's a clever marketing gimmick that the NBA often uses.

So they are actually talking about the ACB and not the Euroleague.

Perhaps because they never played in the Spanish League genius.

However, 2 Greek players made the ACTUAL official all Euroleague decade team, which Scola was unable to make.
