I'll refer you to the umpteen posts I have in this thread where I express my opinion about the situation. I think I've made my thoughts on the matter crystal clear. I'm not asking you to agree with me. It's not important for me to evangelize my viewpoint to you, either.

actually I'm not comparing him to newyorker at this point. I simply think he's arguing for argument's sake. I'm not fishing for anything, just simply telling him that I don't think he's genuine on the "positions" he's taking. he said something to me about it, I simply responded back :)

I'll be more than happy to share them with anyone else who obviously isn't trolling for some sort of response ;)

We've been through this. Your position that you simply feel that it's wrong to seperate twins at birth is not a proper indictment of the researchers' ethics. Why is it wrong? If you feel so strongly about this, you should be able to offer a coherent answer to that question.

These moral questions are not easily answered. Anybody who claims that they are or diminishes their importance needs to be confronted with demands that they back up their positions.

I can say this without any moral or ethical ambiguity: you sir, are a douche.

Maybe they can separate your head from your ass and conduct a study on you.

Not at this point, maybe, but sure at some previous point, no?

You are saying he is here arguing for the argument's sake and is not being genuine on the positions he's taking. Do you have any facts pointing to his wishy washy, flip flopping, or shifting position in general? His posing history is not long. It won't take you long to dig out some of his posts to prove your point, I think, if they are true to your assertion.

I've explained it over and over again. I explained that I thought it was better to keep syblings together than separate them...especially when the only reason you're doing so is to find out what the results will be. I believe the current law and the fact that this study wouldn't be replicated today support my position.

But it's my opinion. It's subjective.

And you keep saying I "feel so strongly." Yeah, I feel so strongly about it that I'm posting about it on basketball-related message board! :) I'm not exactly engaging in a sit-in today or fasting over the issue.

Why is it better? Neither yourself nor anybody else in this thread have demonstrated any harm caused by seperating siblings at birth/infancy. Do you have ANY reason for beleiving the way you do?

The law itself does not support your position, despite your beleif that it does.

Why the expression of outrage? Why the comparisons to Nazi expirements? Do you now understand why I was offended by them? Will you appologize?

You can judge for yourself how he responds to every time Max posts something. He's needling him to get a response. No matter how reasonable Max is being, he pushes the edge more by making wild statements about positions that Max never agreed to. I believe most people call that trollish behavior. If you read through this and believe that he's not doing this just to try to get on someone's nerves, then fine, but I call it the way I see it.

We're done here. Please plant your flag and declare victory so others who wish to discuss this reasonably might do so.

I agree he is not particularly diplomatic, but aggressive, bulldog-like, and not ready to compromise. That certainly gets on many people's nerves, but it is hardly NewYorkerish. To those (including me) who like to argue, the major knock on NewYorker is not his perceived aggressiveness, but his deception and constant shifting of positions whenever he sees fit, if I am not mistaken.

Actually, the problem is that people aren't discussing this reasonably, which is why I'm demanding that you justify your position with reason rather than emotion. If you're done, fine, but I'm not. Don't hold your breath, either.
