Thats was the ad made for Spain.

Independent Mexico controlled the region of Texas for only 10 years or so. I don't know why they care.

I gotta admit I like McCain for standing up for what he believes in even he knows its going to cost him votes.

Unfortunately I just don't agree with a lot of what he believes in.

If Mexico had been able to hold onto California, the tenth largest economy in the world, do you think things might have happened a little differently?

We might be sneaking into their country.

    History is a funny thing.

PS- I didn't know it was possible to get upset over a vodka ad. You're acting like a bunch of sissies.

Isn't this ad actually kinda giving props to Mexico? Like, "In an Absolut World, Mexico would still own all the land that the dirty U.S. pigs took from them."

I wouldn't say that, because technically Mexico belongs to bunch American Indian tribes, if one is go far enough back, if one were to go by previous owner ship, in fact more Indians were killed in Central America and South America than was in the areas where the U.S. presided.

Same deal with immigration. The migrants are here, most of the USA benefits from them, mass deportations would wreck the economy if we could stomach it from a compasion point of view, get over it (and work for real solutions).

Good for McCain, and I do respect him. If it wasn't for his perspectives on an aggressive foreign policy and his stance against virtually all domestic programs spending, I would support him.

[rquoter]SKYY® Vodka, Made in the USA, Proudly Supports Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo

America’s Most-Popular Domestic Vodka Decries Absolut® Vodka’s Suggestion to Redraw North American Map

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In 1848, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo officially ended the Mexican-America War (1846-1848). With the signing of this treaty, the United States gained control of what was to become the Golden West, including California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and parts of Colorado and New Mexico. Today, SKYY® Vodka, the number-one vodka produced in the United States, spoke out against suggestions by Absolut® Vodka to disregard that treaty, as well as the joining of Texas to the Union in 1845, as depicted in Absolut’s recent advertising.

“Like SKYY Vodka, the residents of states like California, Texas and Arizona are exceptionally proud of the fact that they are from the United States of America,” said Dave Karraker, SKYY Vodka. “To imply that they might be interested in changing their mailing addresses, as our competitor seems to be suggesting in their advertising, is a bit presumptuous.”

In the ad, an “Absolut World” is depicted where the map of North America is re-drawn with Mexico claiming much of the Western United States, negating the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, as well as the Gadsden Purchase (1853), and the independence of Texas (1836).

“Don’t get me started on the Gadsden Purchase,” continues Karraker. “I think the folks in Tucson and Yuma would be rubbed the wrong way if they hear this landmark deal was somehow nullified as suggested by Absolut, a Swedish-owned brand.”

SKYY Vodka was founded in San Francisco in 1992 and continues to be produced in the United States. Premium SKYY Vodka is made from American grain carefully selected from the Midwest and 100% pure filtered water. SKYY’s proprietary four-column distillation and three-step filtration process consistently ensures exceptional quality. SKYY Vodka products include luxury SKYY90® and new SKYY Infusions™, a unique, all-natural infused experience made with premium SKYY Vodka and succulent real fruit.[/rquoter]

Yeah, actually illegal immigration doesn't harm us in some areas as most would think....in a way it keeps the us population very steady, we won't find a birth rate crisis, like in several European, Japan, Russia, and China. In a few years, I imagine a few those countries are going to put the gas pedal procreation agendas in some form another in fact I believe in Russia and few former soviet countries, they are paying people to get married or even finding men who come and marry some of their women, because the ratio of women to men is very high, don't ask me why. If anybody could find that article, just post it sometime.

At the same time, illegal immigration can be a really big problem at certain moment ,especially economy is not doing well. When you have surplus in jobs and opportunities .... as well as the establishment of new businesses...it keeps everything relative. Like in the 80s or 70s, it wasn't as serious, because the quality and quantity jobs were relative to the population....then certain industries were slowing down and even to complete halt in the 80s and you started to see some of these companies go out of business or even head overseas.

You could probably support a family for 11 or 12 hour back during that period time, not to say you couldn't now, but you have to keep budgets and spending tight.....you might have to pick up extra job, cut back on vac time, and even not enjoy something you usually do.

People thought was crazy when I said people be more renaissance like or even have one or more skills, majors (in school), and etc to possibly keep everything steady, because some industries and businesses are just going bottom out or decide one day that there is more money to save overseas.

I always thought the industries that would get hurt the least by a recession or depression or even in moment of peril would be education, military (anything with government), religious organizations or institution, healthcare, food industries, transportation, and yes....even the entertainment/sports industry (especially America). And there are few others out there. If you have hard time finding job, you can always look in those fields and find something.

Oh yeah, I forgot the criminal justice system.....to go long with those industries they won't be effect as much during recession.
