With all due respect... Where have you been, man?!? You honestly had NO idea we were changing uniforms until you found this site today??? I smell a serious Ming-only fan...
very OT, but here is an unused logo ca 1995-1996: Very glad that we didn't use it! from the US Patent and Trademark Office.
I continue to call bull**** to any poster not named Tim or DCBaller (we think we know who you are...) who say they've seen the logo and won't tell us where it is. Come clean, or you're a lying ass.
Another usused logo: I actually saw this on a hat. The primary was navy and the bill and trim was maroon. Very stoic and classic logo, IMO.
Thats kinda tite. It would of course only look better with color added to it. Thanks for actually posting that. You get the props if that actually turns out to be the logo.
I just read the first part, what the heck is an "unused logo"? If it wasn't used, why is it on a hat?
The Rox actually trademarked the design (I guess it was one of the finalists) but went with needle-nose instead. Anyways, during the mid 90's New Era or some other cap company made Fantasy 3rd logo hats. This was during the second Championship run, if I'm not mistaken, way before the current one. If I can dig it up, I'll post a pic. I really liked this logo. It was an H and an R with a simple rocked flying up the middle.

I smell a serious Ming-only fan... been a rockets fan for over 10 years, but moved to a non market city a few years ago, not connected for the last year.... honestly, if you can point me to a link on any of the major sports pages (cnnsi, sportsline, espn, etc) that has ANY news on the uni change, i would love to see it. i have been looking for anything like an official news release since i discovered this post a couple weeks ago. i thought you guys appreciated people who read, then post. dont assume so much....
I don't understand why some people seem to be getting all upended over this uni/logo chaos just because nobody who claims to have seen the new logo and/or unis has posted a pic. Sure, it'd be nice to have some validation behind their claims but....who cares! This has been a pretty exciting offseason for a team that didn't make the playoffs, and you can bet things will start to get a little boring come next week. So how bout relaxing and enjoying this moment...cause the suspense is about to end.
blu_monkey, I bought that HR "unused" logo hat for my best friend as a gift in like 1995 I think... he still has it. I was just dead sure that was the new logo back then... It is a nice design, simple, easily identifiable, and has a handy rocket for even easier team recognition. Man I wish they'd finally use that idea. The color for the hat I bought him were the red and gold with a black bill and edges. But I saw it in the maroon also (BTW I'd have bought one for myself but they didn't stock 7 5/8 or 7 3/4 I needed - huge cranium.)
Mainly just bumping the thread. No hysteria please. Nothing you have not already heard, but everyone seems to be freaked the logo will be a convoluted mess. Everything I have read has stated it is going to be "clean" and simple. Houston Biz Journal The logo may be "clean" and simple, but what about the threads? What the heck is "Corpusle red"?? ...And finally, Eiko Ishioka has used a fiber in her garments that is called "Morphotex". It is used in Japan. It has a metal-like appearance. Could this be the Silver part of the garment?

My Clouseau-like snooping skills has led us to something called Morphotex. It is a fiber that is very METAL-like (Rockets going with a silver or metal look). I think I am getting close. It has been used in Japan, by Eiko Ishioka, when she desined the Swiss ski outfits (above). My search continues... Vinny will look for more clues...
Corpuscle: An unattached body cell, such as a blood or lymph cell. A rounded globular mass of cells, such as the pressure receptor on certain nerve endings. A discrete particle, such as a photon or an electron. A minute globular particle. www.dictionary.com
A deep wine red with metallic silver would be gorgeous. I bet these are going to be awesome. Corpuscle red. Blood! I smell blood!
im pretty sure that corpuscle red is just a dark shade of red; not quite maroon though. if you could see what color your blood is inside your body, that would be close.
OK, so after hours of searching Japanese sites, and looking at some local quotes, I have found a "Corpusle Red" quote, and she has used a very Metallic looking fiber called Morphotex (that is used in Japan) in her Swiss ski outfits. If I put two and two together...... ...a rich, deep red, combined with a space-age metallic fabric that changes hues (depending on the light and angle of view) is quite possibly our new color scheme. So all this searching has really led me..............er, nowhere, because I was searching for the logo, not the color scheme.
It changes hue depending on the angle, and the lighting
Another interesting fact: Nissan is introducing its new Silvia Convertible Varietta this month. It is also using this fiber that Ishioka used in her Swiss Ski outfits. This is supposed to be the first commercial use of this fabric.
I guess Clutch and Crew will be working to give clutchcity.net a new look to go with the new logo and colors? I'm looking forward to the coming weeks.
Nonsense...... pure and utter nonsense. If you have seen the freaking logo then spill the freaking beans and tell us what it freaking looks like for the love of God. You will be crowned the freaking king of ClutchCity.net and forever be the "man" who broke the freaking story of the new freaking uni's/logo. Haleluia!!!!
