The logo I saw had one rocket shooting "straight" to form the flat side of an "R" and one rocket shooting sideways forming the curvy side of the "R."
Tim has already said this is not the new uniform. Thank God for that. However, I jst had a sick idea. What if this was the uniform. And the Rockets unvieled it at the first home game next season. Can you imagine the look of horror on the 19000 fans faces! That would be a sight too behold!
Posted this in the other thread, but figured this one was more appropriate. Some of the people working for the new Arena were asked to wear hats around with the new Rockets logo on it to generate some hype and test the waters. Apparently they wern't worthy enough for the guy I was talking with to even sport it the barbeque this past weekend. His description was a red "Gothic" looking R. AND he was NOT IMPRESSED. Actually he thought it was worse then the PJ's. Broke my heart, thought they would get it right this time. He even said that he would have given the hat to me if he had it with him since I was all fired up about him knowing what it looked like. Take it for what its worth. I didn't read the 17 pages to see if someone else posted the exact same thing, so my apologies if it is already posted.
Tim (or anyone who has claimed to see the logo), What can you tell us about the font in the new logo? Is it the same, or have they chosen a new one?
OK OK maybe someone can answer this question either Tim or Tigereye will we see the logo and the unis on the same day or will they be two seperate releases? cheers

im getting a bad feeling about the "description" of the logo! i just dont see why someone doesnt post the pic......their just annoying
Ok, this was driving me crazy too, so I made some calls and I just saw an image of the new home and away uniform, theyshould sell like hotcakes. . .And without providing a spoiler, when you see the jersey's and especially the new Rockets Font , it's not hard to imagine why there had to be a little creative back and forth between the league and the team. Ok I'll give you this, the blue and the angry? rocket and the pinstripes are gone and the font's DEFINITELY not gothic (e.g. Detroit Tigers "D"), so if that was your worry, relax... and enjoy the next week or so until the launch. And no it's nothing outrageous like the designers. . book cover, or the Rollerball looking players she made or that crazy mockup a few posts back. Also, for those of you who really have seen the new jersey, doesn't it sorta remind you of a team from another major sport...if you've seen it you'll go ... oh yeah it does look like their jersey.. but for basketball.. and with the Rockets new font, not that there's anything wrong with that. (and no I'm not going to post it, anyone who has access to it knows that the licensee would get in trouble with the NBA for releasing the image early on a website... loose lips , pink slips and all that ) and really really , it will be fine, we have a nice new jersey. p.s. you really should lose the anti-gay sentiment on the board, it has nothing to do with the Rockets and we're loyal fans just like you.
Yeah I have seen it too but won't post any details because I really haven't seen it... Wait, no..I have seen it, I won't tell you what it looks like but I will give you a hint because i'm an insider...... it is different from the old logo. Can you change my name to "Doc Rocket"?
