Gay is lame, I believe that is what he meant. I think the colors are too subtle and the design is too industrial. It's going in a nice direction though.
It's not. i have not seen the logo but that was just created by someone on the bbs a while ago, just someone messing around.
Well, I just received some info regarding the logo today while I was in class. Not too sure if this has already been posted, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't since I've been checkin this thread like 5 times a day at least! Anywze, the info basically was pretty similar to the things being rumoured/reported on this site (as far there being the letter H or R involved somewhere). My source has actually seen the logo (though not the uniforms), and said it was pretty simple: A letter R with a ring going around it about 3/4ths the way down. And I believe (though not too sure if I heard right), that there are jet/smoke trails coming from the bottom of the two legs of the letter. So the R is kinda like a rocket itself. If what my source said is accurate, then it seems like the logo will be simple, yet classy. Take it w/ a grain of salt...but I'll guess we'll see soon enough.
How could someone who looks at a red and silver "R" with smoke or rocket exhaust coming from the bottom not know that it is the new Rockets logo, as has been reported by Tim, that the logo was not recognized by the people who have seen it.
i have plenty of respect for them, but if its out in public, then its meant for everybody to see, so theres no reason to make up gay little riddles about it. unless its something like the new logo contains the skyline, and the skyline is out in "public" for us to see.

Anybody else bored with the new logo uniforms yet? I am, and have not seen them. Personally, I'd like to see the original designs, that were rejected -- pardon 'given standard back-and-forth feedback' -- by the league. That's what I am waiting for. I would love to see the drafts that l'artiste came up with at first, with unicorns or gnomes on it or whatever she thought of first. I am sure the new ones will be nice. The current uniforms are like that crappy guy your girlfriend dated before you that makes you look really good. You don't have to do much of anything, but you look great just because you do not prefer playing beer pong over making out. I worry that will all the hype and buildup, that people will be disappointed no matter what it looks like. At least the no-life-star-trek-loving-never-been-on-a-date-geeks -- pardon, I mean 'enthusiastic fans' -- on this bbs will be. A logo is not really something that works right off the bat, I think -- it has to come to symbolize something, and at this point, it won't symbolize anything concrete (mustard/ketchup= rings, Hakeem, etc. / pjs = decline of western civilization / new = Yao Ming? Moochie Norris? Arena With No Naming Rights? Van Gundy? Les-Alexander-Kinda-Firing-Rudy-Tomjanovich?). Hopefully people will be patient and wait for it to become something. Hopefully it will. CBFC By the way, the Chucky Brown Fan Club has a kick ass new logo we are going to debut later this year. People are gonne love it.

Hey tim, do u know of the new marketing ploys inside the arena, u know cool stuff for the fans, any new stuff? cause stuff in years past, well some of it has been kinda bad. case in point: This came from an old rockets Blast OFF book that they made for every game with the rosters and stuff. This one had Charles Barkley's life in pictures. I was really disapointed when they went to the one mag. a year with little paper handouts as programs for inv games.

Before, my thread was shut down, I seen a story about the logo, and it featured the logo without the rocket across the city and then the updated version with it. I was trying to direct people to a site that already had that design but, they shut it down.
Why do I deserve bad fortune? I like Chuck. The site is tight. I just can't believe someone would put so much energy into a journeyman like Chucky. That's all!! But hey man, all the power to ya. What you do is what you do!!!!
