About that Yao foul?

Bill Walton hit the nail on the head when he said that a lot of the players on the Rockets are gunners and are just looking for shots for themselves. If you notice all the other great teams in the NBA, they have a team full of players that know how to create for others. We have phenomenal defense, its just a matter of getting a team setup so that we can
1. keep TOs to a minimum and
2.create for others...if we can do these two and at the same time keep up our D then we will have a GREAT team. DANEB

Nothing else matters this season if at the end of it we give full attention to the above statement.

Most of us try not to react to Panic Posts like this, hoping they'll go away. I just hope that readers who come in here don't think that this is the general opinion of this BBS.

At first I thought that SSG was just being sarcastic, as a reaction to all the negative posts about Stevie ... but I guess not.

As others have mentioned, we played them to within one point. This is not embarrassing. I had hopes that we'd win this game, since LA came out so flat. I realize our defense had something to do with that, but I doubt that LA will play so badly, or let us take it to them on the boards like that. I didn't see the loss as any one's players fault, but it doesn't seem like we are gelling as a team. There was little chemistry. Just a lot of good players, but not a team. The lack of "team" was what lost this game.

 

the thing is SF deserves some bashing because he is having the worst season ever. Yao on the other hand is getting better compared to last season. Also, Yao is exceeding any reasonable expectation.

Anyone with an objective view will criticize SF a lot, but that doesn't make him a YOF, he will still point out places Yao need to improve. But you, a SOF, doesn't care about the team except SF.

Fortunately, the chance is you will be out of here soon. SF will be moved before Yao is. And you SOF's will go to other boards where you can idolize your hero and we will read less garbage.

I know I can't be the only one much more focused on the UNFORCED turnovers.
Damn near all of the Rockets' turnovers were caused by the Rockets themselves and not the defense of the Lakers.

We lost by ONE friggin point. Let it go. It wasnt meant to be last night. Quit blaming the players. We played well the second half after we stopped the TO. But u gotta rmr that this is the Lakers. The team everyone says are probably gona win the Championship. So if we only lost by one point to them and keep up what we did defensively last night that is all that i ask from the Rockets. SO QUIT b****IN, GOD DAMN IT IM TIRED OF THE b****IN! YALL ARE LIKE A BUNCH OF LITTLE GIRLS.

I think it's unfair to Yao for people to start chasing him out base on one playoff game. I think he played ok, it would be better if he scored a few more points. I can't deny that he is the most important piece on our team in defending Shaq not to mention other small thing like alternating shoots and scaring away small player like GP . Having said all that, who will you build a team around other than a guy who is young, 7'6 with skills and a lot of fire under whose belly?
