    Sadly though, fuel oil is following the trend of gasoline prices, not due to supply and demand, but because they CAN. psychologically people are already inured to paying a small fortune for petrol/gas, so when fuel oil rises to match they automagically assume that it's for the same reason (although they'd be wrong). If anyone's doing price gouging it's on fuel oil.
