I checked it out, and it's been kind of meh. It started out all right, but the show has quickly gone downhill. Pretty much all the plot threads started to annoy me, and the Hobbes character arc was pretty lame. I decided not to watch last night's episode. I'll probably skim Wikipedia down the road to see how they wrapped things up.
The show has been growing on me and think its been improving. The first few episodes seemed kind of clunky but it seems have hit its stride. The one thing that I really don't like though is the story arc about the FBI agent's son. I think the actor playing the kid is terrible and the whole thing just seems like a knockoff of Jack Bauer trying to deal with his daughter's travails while saving the President. One thing that I would like to see explored more is how the priest's faith plays a role in the story. It seemed like at first that they were going to do more with that, the V's usurping the role of religious faith in society, but now it just seems like the only point of having a priest in the resistance is just to have an old church as a set piece.
Same here, it's the least interesting story line but I get the feeling they are going to something with his lineage with last nites reveal about his father. The actor is pretty terrible, can just hope he gets better as he gets more comfortable.
Spoiler That will be EXTREMELY wack if his dad is a V or something I cannot wait for her former partner to return [Alan Tudyk] -He is a good actor Rocket River
Agree with the son being the worst storyline. He was bawling yesterday and I thought this episode was ridiculous trying to manufacture a dramatic soap opera moment out of (1) a character that I dont think is at all likeable and (2) a series that is meant to be scifi. Rocket River's spoiler is the likely story now, but they should not be expanding the story line much more. The 1983 show was a miniseries first, not a 15-16 hour long drama.
been trying to figure out if the kid is 17 or 7 He is a lil whiney b*tch . . .and I guess the brainwashing took him for a loop but he was ridiculous before that . . . . I'm looking at his dad like. . .ARE YOU SERIOUS "I slept on the floor. . . really!" WHAT . . .Strange chick shows up at the house and it is pancake time?? That Whole storyline and scenes were unreal for me. . . Rocket River
Like many people, I watch this show and want it to be good. But it comes up short. I'll probably watch all of the remaining episodes hoping it catches fire. It seems like "V" has potential and could turn into a great series, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. Since the ratings have gone downhill each and every episode, it looks like a "one and done".
This show is simply not getting better. QUESTION: If the V's are so ruthless. So emotionless. So don't give a d*mn about humans. . . . Why would they bother putting corpses in the shuttle? Would have been better to use real humans? Why risk - 1. being discovered it to be a fraud. 2. Their mole being discovered trying to cover up evidence. They only did it to give the 5th Column a cop out. I would have preferred the kept it gritty and no easy outs. Rocket River
I'll watch "V" next year when it resumes. It falls short but I end up watching it anyway. Maybe 12 months will be long enough for the writers to get their act together.
I think it is getting better, but how this was not cancelled instead of FlashForward is beyond me. Despite it getting better, it is still incredibly slow moving, I feel like the entire season amounted to nothing
season finale was good, in my opinion. anna's daughter is my new crush for sure shes bangin'. Lisa is her name in the show. Only two shows I watch at the moment - V and flashfoward. Hopefully the ff series will give us some good closure to it.
Spoiler so what was up with the V's bringing the doctor back to life, and saying "welcome back"? Did they bring him back to life to interrogate him? Or was that one guy 5th column the whole time? Sort of a confusing last couple of seconds.
IMO, there is no doubt the doctor was 5th column. The question is why they brought him back. My guess is to interrogate & skin him. My guess is Marcus is not 5th column. I must admit the last episode end well. I usually hate it when writers ended seasons on cliffhangers that are supposed to leave you longing for next season. But the writers of "V" wrapped it up very well.
I didn't realize the last episode was the finale...It was pretty decent, and I do believe they brought him back to interrogate...Lisa is f'n hot... will i continue to watch, sure...
The last five minutes of the finale was the best part of this show so far. Anna's emotional reaction and throwing the doomsday switch was pretty BA and caught me off guard. Casting still sucks. It's like a bad 'The 3300'...and that's saying a lot. Yuk. That's a smokerface if I've ever seen one.
Spoiler Anna did say that if they could convert the black guy back to the Bliss they could do the same for the rest of the 5th column.
Just watched the season finale on Hulu and thought it was pretty good. The show seems to be hitting its stride and I think it will be even better next season. Spoiler I think they brought back Joshua to turn him back to the V side but I'm guessing there is going to be some sort of twist. Like that Anna has been infected by human emotion and her bliss doesn't work. I'm also wondering what is going to happen to Lisa. They showed her with a foreboding smile when Anna broke down and why did Joshua address her as "My queen?" I guess she is going to make some sort of power play to take over and the next season starts with her shutting down the doomsday plan only to end up being as bad as Anna.
