I remember seeing the original series but it was later on, since I was 5 in 1983. So I don't remember if I knew they were lizards or not before I saw it. Please refresh my memory....was it not known that thwy were aliens when the show first came out? If not, then how did they sell it/market it? Was it just a show about some aliens? Did folks know the aliens were evil? Did folks just wanna bang hot alien chicks? Etc....
I am happy to see the Indian Chick for BSG show up [The PResident's assitant turn Cylon] I think she is sexy Rocket River Evidently people may get GENRE TypeCast Once a SCI FI Actor. . . you stuck in Sci Fi for life
Their motives were unclear until later on in the series. How was it marketed? Well I thought this worked pretty well.... If I remember correctly the commercials just showed all these massive ships showing up over cities, pretty intriguing when I was a kid
If this new series doesn't have the ultra-gay ending, then this whole show is all for nothing. I wanna see the hot air balloons, the gay music, the red powder, and the hybrid kid with glow power who stops the mother ship from exploding. I don't think there has ever been a cornier, gayer ending to a series EVAH! Well, maybe "Independence Day".
I'd forgotten about that till I saw them replaying it on syfy before the new series started. I was like, oh yeah I forgot about that garbage, the rest of the original series is solid stuff though
Excuse my ignorance but is this drama being airred on ABC yet? Haven't paid much attention to it or so.
2nd episode is better than the pilot but it's still not quite up to scratch. I can't make out if it's bad acting or dialogue from the priest character... Spoiler In the scene where they talk about a "secret weapon" and the priests asks, paraphrasing "What is the secret weapon, what is it? What is it? Tell me." to which the womanly dramatically answers it's "devotion"... It reminded of this ultra bad, low budget movie, titled Hot Times at Montclair High. In that movie there's a scene where a nerd goes "Hey guys, hey guys. Why do they call her peanut butter? Why, why? Come on, tell me guys" and then the jocks reply in a way fashion to the FBI woman "Because. She spreads so ea_sily".
I was able to watch both episodes tonight and I enjoyed it. I can't get Juliet out of my mind whenever she is on screen. I don't even know her name, I just call her Juliet. Same thing with Penny on Flashforward. Interestingly, I don't find it that hard to remove Charlie from my mind whenever he is on screen. Maybe it's because he has been dead for so long.
I just Caught up on the Last Two Episodes. I must say it is good show. It is still finding its legs but overall . . . .I am ok with it. Rocket River . . . I will continue to watch
Yeah, but LOST has been filming already. V didn't know for sure if they were going to go past the initial first 4 episodes or not. Actually, that's probably the reason right there. They just found out a week or two ago that they've been extended for a full season. So it'll probably take until march to get enough shows produced for a decent run without a break.
The layoff has nothing to do with LOST, ABC doesn't want to run the show against the Winter Olympics, the studio had announced this before the first episode aired. I've never understood the logic and if the show dies after it's first season because of poor ratings upon it's return, well you can thank ABC. Last episode was very solid even though the last shots were lifted from the original series if I remember correctly.
Spoiler It maybe. I thought all the ships was overkill. I mean the 29 ships they got seem like they could take over the earth with it also . . the Bliss thing is interesting . . . .. I wonder if Anna is everyone's mother and not just ole girl's The Punishment was manificiently brutal .. . "SKIN HIM!" I look forward to see more of what lies behind the fake smile. Rocket River
i really liked this..really sucks that its having this long layoff.. hopefully it doesnt lose viewers when it returns and gets cancelled .
