So far, it's horrible. I'll give it some time since the first two series were so good. They're straying from their formula of missions with fighting the big bad guys every few episodes. Right now it's just a lame, half-baked drama. The only cool part so far is when the Destiny dipped into that sun, and the only decent character is Eli.
Eli is a b****, I want to punch him in the face. I just started watching that show a few weeks ago. It is the first stargate show I ever watched. It's ok.
It's really not in the spirit of the first two shows. You can get the entire SG1 boxset for $120 on Amazon right now, 10 seasons, no tax or shipping. Highly recommended. I'll admit- I love Sci-Fi, but I won't suffer bad shows just because they have spaceships. Eli is kind of a b****- I think that's what makes him a good character. He's a nerd and he's true to it. What I don't get is why the senator's daughter and the younger soldier have already hooked up. Or I should say- why they have some intimate relationship. Random sex is normal these days, but they're all kissy-kissy loveface after a few days. Lame.
Decent first episode for V. I'm glad we got a little lizard action already. I feared we wouldn't seen anything but human skin until deeper into the series. V is now on DVR record status.
It is a never ceasing source of amusement for me that so many people around here seem to think Stargate is "good SciFi". It's like saying Xena, Warrior Princess is great historical drama.

Decent so far, had some slow parts but picked up nicely during the "meeting". Had it on DVR, and will continue to watch it. Gives me something to watch before FLASHFORWARD comes on later in the week.
She lives in Australia nowadays. She told a local Australian paper about going to NY to do some filming/screen tests for a new V series but that happened several years ago.
Huh. Only character I like so far is Dr. Rush. Eli seems like they're trying to make him a younger version of Dr. McKay (Stargate Atlantis) too much. That senators daughter, I want to kick in the throat. Annoying as hell. I don't hate SG:U, but I feel that they could have done in about 2 episodes what it has taken them 8 episodes to do... But, I digress. V was okay. I won't lie, I was expecting more. It was cool to see some Sci-Fi vets from LOST, Firefly & 4400. But I am hoping it picks up quicker than SG:U has.
It seems pretty good so far. I take it the chick from "Lost" is going to be the heroine in this one leading the resistance. I'm guessing the priest who took the photo evidence to the meeting is the Marc Singer character from the old series. It also seems...I'm guessing...that the lizard-human relationship is reversed in this one...like that male teen who was recruited is going to knock up the lizard chick he has been flirting with. This is supposed to be a "re-imagining" so I'm guessing the characters from the old show won't exactly translate over to the new show....but some of the storylines (e.g. hybrid birth) will still be there. I like the sleeper cell part of it...I'm just left wondering how the early resistance members figured that out? The one guy running the meeting seemed to have a lot of answers early on. Hopefully, they answer how that worked out that way.
It was ok can't say I was blown away and the terrorist among us allegory has been done already, very well by BSG, so I'm wondering how that'll play out. Curious to see how the next 3 episodes play out before it goes on hiatus.
It was OK. I'm not convinced "V" has staying power. Apparently there will be 4 episodes and then it will pause until next February.
Weak sauce. I do not plan on watching any more. I watched a few episodes of the original series and do not remember them as this tepid.
I was thinking that too, but if his best buddy is a turncoat lizard, that would be an awfully good source of info. I thought the show was decent. I'll give it a little burn. I didn't really watch the original at all, no idea if that's a good or bad thing. I do like that the pilot from Firefly/Serenity is in it. Bang that hot lizard-chick son!
Ha ha QFT! I still don't know why they turned SG into a drama. I like Rush's character the best. His character is the only one scripted close enough considering the circumstances. The senators daughter is the biggest anvil of the show, yet they want to make her a main character. Everything about her is bad. Her scripting is bad. Her acting is bad. She's not that attractive. Her character adds nothing to the show and there is no reason why someone like her would have been on the icarus base initially. If they kill her off, this show would improve instantly.
