LOL. I remember that article. That had to be the stupidest thing people on this BBS got into an argument over.

like I said, I didnt see the movie but its pirates, it's a souless bloackbuster whose sole purpose is to make money. What can be so offensive aobut it??

and WIlliam Hung killed me, he set the Asian American movement back by 20 years.

i know you don't think that asians sing that way. but there are so many stupid people in the world, they'll believe everything they see on tv. i can tell you that many times, people mention something about asian culture to me based on tv/movie. i think you would be surprised to know that many dumb people live in the world.

This is a classic hanging slider from Brad Lidge. Let's see what tinman does with it.

just look at the Texans in the 2005 draft.

dude, this is true for ALL Cultures, what do you think about people in the middle east, mexico, the Houston Texans fans, canadians....

what about the people of Kazachstan? you think Borat is really their representative?

give me a break dude, if you censor everything then you will have nothing.
people are now blaming video games for violence. you know violence existed ever since the beginning of time.

I think some theatres in Utah still cut scenes with nudity in them. Other countries have cut scenes for ratings standards or just because they don't want to piss off the local audience.

I've only seen bits and pieces of her, but I think I've only seen her full standup act once. I don't remember her using the n-word though. I cant watch the video since I'm at work and Youtibe is blocked but I'll take a look when I get home. I dont know how she uses the n-word, but I'm not sure it would go over too well if she used it in the same context as "I love chinks"

No one has blamed video games for violence. They have blamed violent video games for bringing out violent tendencies. There's a world of difference and plenty of studies that demonstrate the latter. If you put someone in jail and surround them with violence for several years, they will likely come out with less reservations about violence. It's the same basic principle. The "video games are responsible for violence" is just a silly way to create a strawman argument that's easy to argue againgst.

One was she was talking about her boyfriend and saying how bad he is or something then said I had to break up with him. Not because of all of that stuff but because he was a BLANK.

Then another one was where she said wow there are alot of BLANKS here...ERRR african americans ERRR blacks....dang I can never tell the difference.

And frankly it does not matter how it is used. If any reg person uses that work in a workplace there would be a problem, possible suspension or firings. She is a comic and race jokes are a part of her act. She has no personal problem with Asians.

no, I certainly can't see why the Asian pirates would be racist, it seems a little silly to me. The rap you posted is definetely racist. If you can't see the difference, then like I said, maybe you shouldn't be in the business of dictating to minorities when they should and should not be offended.

thats pretty dumb thing to do, i mean chows acting were the best in the entire movie, they cut out some of the finest portions of the film. plus, its not like there were never chinese pirates.
